Do the humanities need a rebrand?

You find my threads and posts extremely interesting. That is precisely why you lurk my threads, and relentlessly read them and compose responses to me.
Psychoquackery. Narcissism.
I said it doesn't hurt to be a student of the human condition by studying history, literature, music, art, psychology, sociology, etc. I didn't say anything about that being the only way to be a person of some depth and insight.
You don't know history.
You don't know any music.
Art is just a 2nd hand view of the world, made 3rd hand by your interpretation.
Psychoquackery is not psychology.
You don't know much about people.

You have very little depth and are illiterate.
But the simple fact is you are almost never going to get a professional job with Microsoft or Apple with a high school degree.
People already work at Microsoft AND Apple with just a high school degree, Cyborg.
Bill Gates had just a high school degree.
Steve Jobs had just a high school degree.
All jobs are 'professional' by definition.

Assumption of victory fallacy!
I accept your tacit confession you were completely unaware that nuclear logging and sonic logging are routine tools used in petroleum exploration.

👉 See post #423.

My advice is that you should keep your mouth shut on topics you know nothing about.

We all feel that way. Only solution is "ignore."
True, but I'm conducting a sociological experiment. I've never seen a poster be so frequently wrong, even when they act like they are expert on every topic under the sun.

Nuclear is not logging.
Sonic is not logging.
Petroleum exploration involves all sorts of tools, none of which you are qualified to use and have never used.

Inversion fallacy.

Bulverism fallacy.
Pretending to be some kind of petroleum 'expert' won't work, Cyborg. You know nothing about the petroleum industry, you have never worked in it, never learned your way around Louisiana, never visited an oil drilling rig, and never used any oil exploration tools.

You're as bad as the Pretender. I suspect you two might be socks.

You know nothing about the petroleum industry, you have never worked in it!
I've noticed that high school dropouts feel that professional employment in a large American corporation seems so exotic, so inaccessible and unimaginable to their life experience, that they assume nobody they run across could ever conceivably have worked in a Fortune 500 company.

You are definitely part of a sociological experiment. Into isn't really "debating" they just post shit. The fact that you "seriously engage" them makes YOU look dim.

Just a pro-tip for ya, there. I know it's important for you "scientists".
