It's always weird when a bigot/racist calls someone else that, which he often does. Child-less people have absolutely no idea how it feels to send your child -- whether the child is a student or (like in my case) a teacher -- to school and worry about them being killed by someone who has a weapon of mass destruction. To be fair, in this case I believe early reporting has identified the weapon used as a shotgun rather than the more often-used assault rifle.

This time a civilian with a firearm saved the day, along with the unarmed teacher who tackled the kid. In other instances the presence of armed resource officers did nothing to stop the murderers, nor did locked doors. The commonality in all mass shootings is obvious -- the gun capable of mass murder w/o giving others a chance to fight back while the shooter reloads. Make these weapons illegal again. Offer cash to those who relinquish them. For those who don't, have severe penalties for their use including confiscation, fines, and prison time. By "use" I mean flourishing or firing them whether at another human or at a target. Enough is enough.

The AR-15 does not simulate combat conditions.
The AR-15 is no different from any other semi-automatic rifle. It uses a .223 round, not much larger than a .22 rifle round.

No gun will go out and shoot people, Cyborg.

The 2nd amendment does not specify any weapon by type, action, size of magazine, brand name, plan name, type of missile, size, or color. It does not specify an age, color of skin, or gender.

There is no such thing as an 'assault weapon'.

ALL weapons are legal to own.

Most guns are semiautomatic. So?
There is no such thing as 'high capacity ammunition'.
Semiautomatic rifles have been around in large numbers since 1908.
The M1 Garand, used in WW2, had an 8 round capacity.
Rambo is fiction. The M60 that he used is a fully automatic weapon (also legal to own).
The AR-15 is a semiautomatic weapon.

The largest casualty non-war mass shooting took place in Norway (not the United States). The shooter used a 9mm pistol and a semiautomatic Ruger hunting rifle. He mostly used the pistol. 77 killed.


The Pulse Nightclub shooter used a 9mm pistol and an MCX carbine (semiautomatic rifle). 49 killed.
Out of a population of some 300 million, ONE decided to go into a nightclub and shoot up the place.

There are several reasons for this:

1. News agencies are essentially professional gossipers.
2. Like any gossip, the more fantastic sounding you make it, the better you feed your narcissism. For a news agency, the more money you make selling your gossip.
3. Almost all news agencies are controlled by Democrats. This is why they so easily copy each other.
4. Every such news agency, particularly NBC and CNN, make shit up out of whole cloth, and they've been caught it numerous times.

A search in Paporakis' home led authorities to recover an AR-style rifle bearing no serial number, tactical equipment, multiple loaded magazines, and hundreds of rounds of ammunition. Other items discovered include a gas canister with slurs directed at South Asians and multiple items associated with Nazi symbolism and white supremacist extremism, prosecutors said.
