Judge orders removal of Trump’s name from Kennedy Center

A federal judge shut down President Donald Trump’s effort to slap his name on the Kennedy Center on Friday, ruling that the institution’s board acted unlawfully when it voted to add the president’s name to the venue and to halt plans to temporarily close the center for renovations.
Because Congress named the center by statute, changing the Kennedy Center’s name requires an act of Congress.”

“The Kennedy Center’s organic statute makes crystal clear that the Center is to be named for President Kennedy, and it cannot bear any other formal name or public memorial based on the Board’s unilateral say-so. Congress gave the Kennedy Center its name, and only Congress can change it,” Cooper agreed in the 94-page decision.

Trump has had a good day. Another judge blocked the Jan. 6 slush fund. Meanwhile the big national birthday bash is shedding entertainers like Trump is a disease.

I saw that on the news earlier this evening.

Was gonna start a thread, but I got busy.

Glad to hear it.

Hope the SCOTUS doesn't bow to trump on this one if there is an appeal.
