Dem donor who backed Harris, Clinton now raises cash for GOP rival in a surprise switch

"Bonnie Englebardt Lautenberg" = Back page news
Her pocketbook isn't "back page news", as this means even less money for the already cash-strapped Broke-o-crats, who were forced to take out a loan earlier this year, just to keep their HQ open.

This was a significant dem supporter jumping ship, which means significantly LESS MONEY for the cash-strapped Broke-a-crats, who were forced to TAKE LOUT A LOAN TO KEEP THEIR HQ OPEN EARLIER THIS YEAR....
Oh, so you saying now the Governor is going to lose? Want to bet it?

Asinine strawman.

It means even less money for the already massively in-debt Broke-a-crats....which is affecting every race they are in.

They are getting their asses kicked by communists....enjoy.
So if the Governor is going to walk back into the office what is the importance of a big donor pulling back his funding

This is what is commonly known, among sane people, as "coming to one's senses"..... ;)

Dem donor who backed Harris, Clinton now raises cash for GOP rival in a surprise switch

  • Donor Defection: Longtime Democratic supporter Bonnie Englebardt Lautenberg, who backed Kamala Harris and Hillary Clinton, is now raising funds for Republican Bruce Blakeman, surprising many in the Democratic circle.
  • Gubernatorial Race: Incumbent Kathy Hochul faces Blakeman in the 2026 New York governor election on November 3, following primaries on June 23.
  • Political Endorsements: Blakeman gained support from Trump after Elise Stefanik withdrew from the Republican primary, highlighting a high-profile GOP backing.

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: The political ground of New York appears to be slipping from the Democrats' hands ahead of the gubernatorial race, as one of their longstanding donors has pulled back.

The 2026 New York gubernatorial election is scheduled for November to elect the governor of New York.

Republican Bruce Blakeman is challenging incumbent Democratic governor Kathy Hochul, who is running for re-election to a second full term.

Longtime Dem donor defects to Kathy Hochul's opponent

The New York Post reported Monday, August 17, that Bonnie Englebardt Lautenberg, who has raised money for Democratic leaders like Kamala Harris and Hillary Clinton, has switched sides and is now raising funds for Republican candidate Bruce Blakeman, Gov. Kathy Hochul's opponent.

Lautenberg, a professional photographer, philanthropist, and the wife of late New Jersey Democratic Sen Frank Lautenberg, had previously contributed to Gov Kathy Hochul’s campaign.

She will now be holding a fundraiser for Blakeman’s campaign, she confirmed to the New York Post.

“It’s the talk of the Hamptons,” said one Democrat who expressed surprise. “It’s a good get for Bruce.”

Lautenberg, whose artwork appears in the Library of Congress, said little more.

“It’s true,” Lautenberg told the NY Post. “Bruce is a longtime friend and neighbor. He’s a great guy.”

Federal filings show Bonnie Lautenberg has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to Democratic causes over the past decade, including campaigns for Kamala Harris, Hillary Clinton, Cory Booker, Mark Kelly, Jon Ossoff, Laura Gillen and Robert Zimmerman.

Most MAGA's are turning against trump right now too - so - no loss!

"In the 2024 presidential election, President Trump won the popular vote by expanding his coalition in unprecedented ways. More moderates, independents, Hispanics, Black Americans, young Americans, and voters in blue states supported him than any other Republican presidential candidate this century. Much of this support was gained by persuading voters that he shared their priorities. Eighteen months later, some of these dynamics appear to be shifting.

The president’s decision to engage in a war with Iran has been controversial. Our most recent survey, conducted from March 30 to April 6 among a nationally representative sample of 1,469 US adults and 1,901 2024 Trump voters, finds that just 25 percent of Americans support the war while 52 percent are opposed."

Argument from randU fallacy. Random number are not data, Stooge.
The President is not elected by popular vote.
The vote for congressional seats has not been taken yet.
