Humberto Romero Avila, a gang-affiliated fugitive wanted for a 2007 murder in Mexico, has been deported after illegally crossing into the U.S. ten times.
Since 2002, Avila racked up convictions for larceny, four DWIs, and multiple other crimes while repeatedly re-entering the country.
ICE officials said his deportation marks a major win for public safety, with Director Bret Bradford calling Avila "one of the most egregious offenders" he's seen in 30 years.
His removal comes after a crackdown under the Trump administration, with interior ICE arrests surging 137% compared to last year.
