Halloween (also know as All Hallows Eve is not satanic worship.

All Hallows is a day of feast and celebration of saints and others that have passed on. In is also known as the Day of the Dead, and is held on Nov 1st. It is a happy occasion, remembering what those have have passed before have left as their legacy.
You will find similar festivals in Asia as well.

It is also marking the end of harvest, and the beginning of a new year on some calendars.

Spiders? A normal event this time of year as spiders become quite large (pregnant) before laying their eggs. The spider will die off, leaving only the eggs to hatch in the coming Spring.

Pumpkins and other gourds are harvested this time of year.

Ghosts, skeletons, etc are artifacts of what All Hallows is all about: the remembrance of loved ones.

Even kids and candy is part of it.

Plus, the neighborhood can have a little fun. Saving the pumpkin for pie and roasted seeds, and carving fun faces into the rind that remains.

Witches, warlocks, and such are just part of the fun. They are magical.

Nowadays, of course, as with everything we do in the U.S., it's been commercialized to the point of ridiculous with inflatable displays, giant plastic skeletons, and even preprinted gravestones with corny jokes on them; all available at your local hardware or display store.

Satan really has nothing much to do with it.
Enjoy the fun, and remember what All-Hallows is for.
Don't begrudge the kids and their costumes. It's just part of the fun.
