Hillary Clinton caught a lot crap when she PROPERLY identified the magats and said this...

"..."To just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump's supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. Right? The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic—you name it".

Despite the fact it is identifying the SAME point made by Trump when he said this...

"'I Could ... Shoot Somebody, And I Wouldn't Lose Any Voters'..."

What Trump identified early was a hard core part of his base was so deplorable that he could murder someone in cold blood, in full view of his magats and it would change nothing for them. Thus he could be racist, sexist, xenophobic, homophobic, islamaphobic, protect groomers and pedophiles, go full NeoCon, be anti 2A, etc, etc... and nothing would change.

Trump was right. Hillary was right. Bipartisan agreement and a cleared eye view, many of the rest of us missed about how deplorable a percentage of the population is.

Imagine if Trump:

Set up a private computer server and was using it to secretly get official government e-mails outside the legally required system, including classified ones, to circumvent government records keeping requirements...

Was doing shady real estate deals on land with business partners who went to prison for their part in it and those people then refused to testify against Trump...

Stood by and did nothing while a US embassy came under siege in some country and then the ambassador and several other Americans died there...

Was doing insider trading on the commodities market using a straw buyer and avoiding regulatory requirements for account balances, credit levels, etc...

Looted the White House on leaving in 2020...

Set up a non-profit to use as a slush fund and avoid political campaign contribution laws...

Was found to have gotten hundreds of FBI background investigations and reports on people he considers rivals or enemies...

Was found to be taking major campaign contributions through a Chinese government front man acting for them in the US...

Ordered US ambassadors and other US embassy personnel to actively spy on UN members...
