There have been many raids to round up illegal aliens who were working, but never any raids to round up any illegal aliens who were purchasing groceries.

Non-citizens can serve in the US military, absolutely. It is entirely possible that, due to paperwork errors, a non-citizen serving in the US military ends up being in the US "illegally".

Only people that don't owe their allegiance to another government and are born in the US are citizens. Illegal Aliens owe their allegiance to another government and so do their offspring. There is a billionaire in China that impregnates women and sends them to the US to have their babies. After delivery the woman and the baby return to China to live where they owe their allegiance to China. Elk's parents owed their allegiance to another government and because of that the SCOTUS decided Elk owed his allegiance to another government and that disqualified him for citizenship. THAT IS WHY WE ARE DISCUSSING ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS.
