what issues are most important to you?

that is a lie

never
in mans history has private charity met the need

I'm sorry but thats just not accurate. Most of the food banks, food pantries, and food assistance programs in this country are provided by non-profits organizations and other private charities. Feeding America, Meals of Wheels, and many more. There are also constant food drives from local churches, schools, and businesses that goes into helping stock those banks and programs. My church in my hometown did food drives often as did my high school and it would fill a large truck each time and that sort of thing happens across the country every day along with the large non-profits that are doing the same thing. It's bigger than I think you know.

you refuse to defend these silly ideas

I'm not going to defend them to you, in fact, i'm sorry to say but until you start treating me with the same courtesy and respect that I have treated you then i'm not going to respond to your questions or responses. If you want to have a genuine conservation with me then i'm all for it, but it will take an apology and an actual effort on your part to treat me like a human being if you want that type of conservation.

there is no facts here that are cited

you can stop responding

don't pretend its any other reason than you can not cite facts and hate facts

OK

But how much of a role do you think government should play in that? Don't you think the private sector, and market forces are handling it pretty well?

I think state and local government should play somewhat of a role in the state's agricultural production and oversight mainly when it comes to maintaining competition and providing some oversight on certain contracts between large multinational corporations and local farmers who often find themselves in an almost indentured servitude role to those larger corporations.

Cowgirl is - fairly easily - one of the most respectful posters on here.

There is no excuse for your tone or behavior on this thread.

It's amazing her anger at anyone who dare have an opinion she disagrees with. Again, how can she proclaim to love democracy yet think anyone who thinks different from is evil.

she keeps dodging the facts given her

I've heard that one before.

Even if that was true, it's not asking much for you to be more respectful. She has never attacked you.

But it isn't true. Whatever facts you do post here tend to be cherrypicked cut & pastes from google. You never look at both sides of an issue.
