  • White house staff
  • Flight attendants
  • Flight crew

The news bites capture only Air Force One's triumphant landing. What you don't see is the C-17 transporting vehicles, the chartered White House press corps plane, or the advance teams who've been on the ground for a week. Must cost a ton, doncha think ?


Then there is family vacation trips....about another $100,000,000 give or take....

Yep.....Trump has some catchin' up to do, for sure....

Trump don't take his presidential salary of $400,000.....that should offset Melania's infrequent trips to DC....

The price increase is a simple supply and demand thing. You mentioned it being a coincident. No coincident at all. More people want to join a club where the President is a member.

As far as the ethical part of the President owning a club that people belong to and pay money to join the ethical question is a legitimate one. I don't know if we've had situations like this in the past and if we have how they have been dealt with.

People close to the Florida resort said the increase took effect Jan. 1. The resort had been considering an increase for some time, said those people, who declined to provide their names because they were not authorized to speak on behalf of the company.
The initiation fee for Mar-a-Lago had been $100,000 since 2012, when it was cut from $200,000. People close to the resort said the fee was reduced following a decline in memberships after the Bernie Madoff scandal, which claimed many wealthy Palm Beach victims.

So it just went back to what it was in the past....

So if it costs $228K for one hour of flight time, trump's annual salary would pay for less than one round-trip flight from NY to FL for Melania.

How funny that you constantly bring up Obama when his and trump's situations were completely different. Melania isn't living in the WH; Melania isn't doing anything as FLOTUS except for being on hand for a couple of foreign leader visits; Melania's been back and forth to FL at least three times since the inauguration and perhaps a few times to DC.

Maybe trump the billionaire (ha ha) should pick up the tab for the flights since this couple is leading separate lives.

I'm guessing "some time" translates to November 9, 2016, and the people "who declined to provide their names" are Don Jr. and Eric Trump.
