Trump trolls in West Virginia: 'Are there any Russians here tonight, any Russians?'

In other words, you've long ago rushed to the conclusion that Trump is innocent and everybody else is just a gang.

My point exactly. You're only interested in the exoneration of the clown, not justice.

you completely mis-state what I said. I pointed out the conflicts of interest in the SP and his Gang .
Conflicts of interests are generally mitigated or else a cause of removal.. what isn't clear here?

It was a great speech and the President is right. Russia had absolutely nothing to do with why Trump won the presidency. Anyone who believes that it did - are in a word... delusional.

Trump won the election because of the issues he campaigned on.
exactly. MAGA is a superior idea to anything Hillary had going on.
And she had a lot of crappy baggage as well.

:0) If you mean imitating republican attacks on Obama .. I'd agree .. and I agree with the imitation.

If you mean imitating Trump's policies and hate that he ran on .. that's ridiculous.

That and the truth that you have no clue how deep the Russian interference was. No clue, no idea.

The truth is that Russia had nothing to do with why President Trump won the election. If you think that it did - you're the one who has no clue and no idea.

It's like I pointed out - Trump won the election because of the issues he campaigned on. And democratic leaders like Schumer know this - which is why he is adopting those very same policies.

So I'm a lot more optimistic as to the future of the democratic party. It's true, many of their partisans are moronic brainwashed snobs who can't do anything but call other people racists and rednecks. But at least some of the party's leadership is demonstrating enough intelligence and political insight to turn their party around and gain success. Because if Schumer intends to adopt President Trump's policy initiatives (and that's exactly what it looks like he is doing) that's an encouraging sign and will likely lead to the democratic party becoming a formidable political force again.

I disagree on Trump winning because of issues. Perhaps in part, but I'd call it a small part.

A huge part of his win was just not being Hillary. Just about any other Dem likely trounces Trump. Hillary had way too many negatives and too much baggage, and ran a terrible campaign.

Another big part of his win was strictly a cult of personality thing. The whole "he talks like us" and "he's a straight shooter" (even though he's not), and the "his success in business will make him a success as POTUS" logic.

A 3rd aspect was the concept of being sick & tired of the system, and just wanting a random element to smash it to pieces.

I'd put "issues" last on the list. Immigration was pretty big for his base, but that group was voting GOP regardless.

Trump won because he campaigned on immigration and trade reform. Many people are ignorant as to just how hard the economic policies of the 90's have hit many parts of this country with corporations moving jobs off shore to take advantage of cheap labor - or by simply importing cheap illegal labor (at least it was illegal until Obama gave them work permits...) from across our porous southern border. People who used to make over 50,000 a year are now slaving at Walmarts all across this country.

That's why Trump won. His personality had little to do with it. In fact - it was probably an impediment because it rubs many people the wrong way. People who think he won because of Russia, or his personality - or that his supporters are just stupid don't get it. But luckily for the democratic party they have some smart leaders who do get it - and are adjusting their policy platforms to mirror what the President ran on - which really does transcend left and right as Trump said in his speech.

The silly partisans who do nothing but call each other names, tow the party line and believe the other party the devil do not sway elections. It's the independent Americans who can go either way that actually do vote on issues that decide the presidency - and that's who put Trump into the Oval Office.

Well, I'm sure it's not illegal.

Maybe it broke some party rules or whatever, but who is the DNC to complain about breaking rules? Joe Manchin may not be far behind him.

I doubt Manchin switches. If he does it means he smells electoral defeat for the democrat party in 2018. But I seriously doubt that he does.

He is a scumbag. Takes pictures holding guns then pushes to evicserate the 2nd Amendment

No, it does not.

Your fantasy characterizations not withstanding, you have no, none, zero, nada, nein clue about the processes of this investigation.

Just cling to the fantasy that Russians did nothing wrong and we should all be shaking in our boots at the name Putin.

don't pretend you do......all you have is what the DNC has told you to post......

. adjusting their policy platforms to mirror what the President ran on - .

So the Democrats will run on bigotry, xenophobia, jingoism and misogyny. Gotcha.

Republicans can call it counter-terrorism, jobs, strong military and traditional values, but I know dog whistling to rednecks when I hear it. They've done it for generations. And it is possible to talk about labor unions and protectionism instead of talking about China and Mexico, but Trump didn't and doesn't, and we all know exactly why. He has turned the Republican dog whistle into a racist fog horn. I have yet to see Trump attempt any radical trade barriers that in any meaningful way would reverse the globalization that according to free trade laws of comparative advantage have sapped the well paid labor class in the US. There are only two things that can help the problem. One would be a massive education and training program to retool our labor force. Trump isn't doing it. The other would be a massive government infrastructure jobs program funded by massive tax hike on the rich and upper middle class. He isn't going to do that either. But there is no third path, so the idea that anyone can bring back the ozzy harriet days is a second fantasy.

Neither democrats nor republicans can solve the problem you identify as causing Trumps win. I know he is a conman and care about other issues as well. So as between a total conjob party who have decided a bigot in chief is their brand, thanks but I'll go with the other guys.

Those were not my words - nor was that what the President ran on. So you don't got anything.

Spare me your partisan hyperbole please. Bored with it.

Are you an investigator? Have any investigative experience? No?

Then the process will work as Mueller sees fit .. who is a very qualified and experienced investigator who has put together a dream team of very qualified and experienced investigators and lawyers.

Right now, Mueller is following the money trail .. and you have NO IDEA where that trail leads.

Hardly...there are legal "remedies" when when Mueller goes beyond the scope of the declared investigation....Mueller is not immune to the rule of law because he calls himself a "special" independent (we all know...THE PEOPLE know that is not true) investigator/prosecutor.

No where in the original declaration/mission statement does it give Mueller the power to change the scope of the investigation arbitrarily to include investigating the MONEY from 10 years past . What? Do the democrats have the magical power to see into the future and know that Mr. Trump the real estate developer was going to be president in 10 years? This is called "mission creeping" authority...something the Clinton democrats bitched about when Slick was under investigation...it was not allowed then and it will not stand today.

There is DOJ precedent that's been around since 1973 (44 years)..... Mueller nor any "normal citizen" can criminally prosecute a sitting president...even for a crime. FYI: its unconstitutional. These idiots are just that...idiots. The president has the constitutional authority as the Chief Law Enforcement Officer of the land to PARDON or FIRE who he will....even Mueller (if he so wished) it would be no crime under the constitution, it might make him un-electable....but its not a crime. This dog and phony show "might" recommend impeachment...but that will not happen as the democrats don't have the political power. Slick willy was impeached but not convicted or removed from office and he was caught red handed breaking federal law (a crime) that crime...lying under oath. I said the same thing then....its nothing but a political show. And guess what? The republicans that put on the show? Lost control of congress. The democrats can't be reduced much more...but they can find the republicans with a super majority over this dog and phony show.

Lets enjoy the continued "circus". ;) While Trump continues to drain the swamp with his magic pen power.

The Precedent: https://biotech.law.lsu.edu/blaw/olc/sitting_president.htm

The conclusion of the DOJ considering both Nixon and Clinton: "The department of justice concluded that the indictment (for any crime) would unduly interfere with the ability of the executive branch (remember that separation of power..thingy?) to preform its constitutional duties.........."

As far as Clinton? The People knew when they elected him he was a lying whoremongering politician.....then the losing party attempted to charge the snake for being the snake the people knew and elected? The same thing applies to Trump. He is the constitutional BOSS....heads will roll over this....unlike Clinton, Trump never forgets nor forgives a perceived injustice to him.

Sorry, but it is impossible to exaggerate Trump's demagoguery and exploitation of the least noble but most common features of humanity.
Don't piss down my back and tell me it's raining. Trump ran riding racism.

You're the one trying to piss down my back and tell me it's raining.

For example: in Trump's West Virginia speech he said this: "Whether we are black, brown, or white, we all bleed the same red blood"

Yeah that really sounds like something a racist would say let me tell you...

As I said Micawber, I've lost interest in these partisan delusions of racism you liberal democrats seem to have every time a Republican runs for office. I'm bored with it.

it's all they got right now, that and identity politics

It is. Which is why Trump was able to flip so many states that usually go blue.

Calling people racist is not an effective political strategy and they had better find a new one, and soon.

good post..but who's gonna stop Meuller's over-reach? Congress?? 1/2 the Republicans are #neverTrump .
Congress is the Swamp and just precluded both recess appointments and firing Mueller.

I actually have more respect for Democrats then the #neverTrump.
At least Dems are upfront with their partisan motivations.
Jerks like McCain take the same route and call themselves "maverick"- they are just butthurt.

There are far more republicans than democrats or rhino's...and TRUMP does control the DOJ...whether they like it or not.....as said before, Trump is the constitutional Boss....and he enjoys the hell out of firing people. There will be a show after the show. Enjoy the "encore" that follows...even if Mueller recommends impeachment...Trump will not be forced to leave office as there is no evidence for the charges presented in the mission statement...RUSSIAN COLLUSION.

Impeachment is a political act.
Firing Meuller no matter how corrupted his Gang is -will result in Congress bloodletting cries of Obstruction of Justice.

SP's are above the law, and above reproach, and above accountability & firing. They are like political gods

I bet you didn't feel that way in the Whitewater investigation.
