The Republicans under Newt Gingrich and Bob Dole in the 1990's fully backed an individual mandate based health care system when they opposed Clinton's single payer initiative.

correct, and single payer would just be allowing the US government to run another program, we all know how that always works out.
healthcare belongs in the private sector, healthcare is not to be given to people who have the means to pay for it, and somehow think it's a right to have someone else, ME, buy it FOR them, wtf kind of idea is that?
Obamcare accomplished neither of those requirements.

Obamacare never had a chance, the design of it was to give a lot of people something free and make it look like someone is taking it away from them when it fails, which is exactly what is happening.
Obama had no idea what he was doing, he was in way over his head on everything he touched.
that's why the race card came out toward the end, "whitey hates you" "White corporate America want's tax breaks", blah blah blah sameo playbook every election cycle.

I disagree with one point. Obamacare is working exactly as planned. It was never intended to "work" as normal people think it would. It was intended to cripple private insurance and be the bridge to single payer.

If the left ever gets single payer it is the end of our freedoms. It will be the predicate to limiting all sorts of freedoms all in the name of controlling healthcare dollars.

If the companies that sell the product or service that the govt requires you to buy are not part of the government, then then they are privately run and as such, part of the free market economy.

Period.

Obamacare is what is known as a public/private partnership.

If a company is told what to sell and how much to charge for it and a consumer is told they have to buy it there is no free market.
