Cops say driver was in self defense

using a vague state constitution clause about the environment letting the state prohibit smoking in public places, despite the fact that it's private property owned by private persons, because you dont like being around smokers

Their freedom impacts mine to breath fresh air...

(laughing)

Want to return to the General Welfare discussion, where I cited SCOTUS decisions, the philosophy of Madison vs. Hamilton, pointed to other national institutions and you responded with 'unelected guys in black robes'?

What's it feel like to hold your ass in your hands, loser?
Sure, let's return to your claim that SCOTUS is always right, or how Hamilton lost his debate with Madison.

I find it incredibly amusing that you don't understand that your rights have reasonable limitations.

What is reasonable about some driver cutting in front of me and harassing me, slowing down on a busy public highway and endangering me and my my family?

and my point is proven. thanks.

question, were you forced at gunpoint to eat in a particular restaurant that the private owner allowed smoking?

No. The smoker didn't light up until after I ordered. I never go into restaurants where smokers are contaminating the air.

so you CHOSE to go to a restaurant that you KNEW allowed smoking?

At that period in time many of not all allowed smoking. However those that did always had designated non-smoking areas. This was the first restaurant that I had encountered that lacked that courtesy. It was my first and last visit.

Soon after they closed down. Apparently I wasn't the only bloke offended.

and in a free market environment, that is exactly how it should play out.....not having someone claim to be for freedom and private property rights use vague portions of a constitution to allow government to prohibit shit they don't like.

There's nothing vague about the Constitution, unless you are a liberal. Read Amendments 9 and 10.

I think it should be up to each non public establishment to determine what happens on their property concerning smoking.
Then I, as a non cigarette smoker, don't have to patronize their establishments.

Our favorite local pub allows smoking, we just stay outside away from the smoke, they are happy, we are happy.

I don't recall discussing the NC Constitution with you previously.

was over a year ago, possibly even two, but there was a debate about cities banning smoking in all bars/restaurants and you were in total approval/favor of it. you even dragged out your state constitution saying that it absolutely allows the government(s) to do such a thing.......

Article XIV, Section 5, of the North Carolina Constitution provides the following:

It shall be the policy of this State to conserve and protect its lands and waters for the benefit of all its citizenry, and to this end it shall be a proper function of the State of North Carolina and its political subdivisions to acquire and preserve park, recreational, and scenic areas, to control and limit the pollution of our air and water, to control excessive noise, and in every other appropriate way to preserve as a part of the common heritage of this State its forests, wetlands, estuaries, beaches, historical sites, open lands, and places of beauty.

OK, so it does.

racist white man get out of jail free card........I feared for my life, even though I'm the only one armed.
Yea...'the police' said. The same police who didn't dare disturb the Nazis as they threw clergymen/women to the ground.

Yeah, right, have you seen the film, there was no one around his car when he accelerated into the crowd

Might be an attempted defense, but the film proves it bogus, the guy was a dimwit, an angry dimwit at that, and now he is stuck with the consequences of his actions, he killed another person
Yea...oddly enough, reverse was working fine after he murdered that poor woman.

Yea, I got people there. The media isn't reporting much on how they terrorized the community and clergy the night before with guns and torches.

They violently attacked Black church goers.........just like old times. Just like dylan roof.

Why aren't young white men being racially profiled like Blacks, Muslims and Mexicans?

Americans need to look in the mirror. These terrorist should not have been allowed to rally.

I just happened to be watching the news, getting ready to head out. There was a story about the torch bearing Nazis the night before. Then they cut live to the protest. They were interviewing reverend Blackmon. As she was speaking into the camera, she was grabbed and dragged away. You could hear someone say 'we have to go'.

That was right after the Nazis threw another member of the clergy to the ground.
