So, how much will Mandalay Bay be sued for?

I am giving your thread all the respect it rightfully deserves.

What security do you think Is in place in ANY hotel to prevent a gun from coming in?

Tell us oh wizard of smart.

If I was a plaintiff's lawyer I'd claim that given today's climate, they should have had a metal detector or x-ray scanner in place.

No.

My argument is based on the way we all know civil litigation works.

If something happens on your property that causes the death and/or injury of other people, even if they weren't on your property, youll be blamed for it by the injured parties or their families.

Especially if you're a mega wealthy corporation.

Anyone who doesn't understand that has had their head up their ass for the past several decades.

Do you go out of your way to be this monumentally stupid?

You have to prove negligence. You have to be able to prove that they could have reasonably prevented it.

For example. If your kid has a neighbor friend over to play and the kid falls out of a tree and breaks an arm unless you did something to cause it you cannot be sued. Well let me rephrase that. Someone stupid like you might try but you would fail.

You could claim it but that doesn’t mean you would be victorious.

Are you saying that EVERY building should be manned with TSA agents and scanners?

Before last night what would warrant that type of security in a casino?

I would argue that casinos are some of the most secure buildings in the world given the amount of money that is at stake.

But your contention is baseless and makes you look stupid. Not a difficult feat mind you. But nonetheless impressive

It was reported on the news earlier this morning.

It was? Cite the report.

No proof, no truth.

Besides, it's pretty obvious he got around security, since I doubt it's the hotel policy to allow a guest to bring an arsenal into their room.

Hmmm. A minute ago you said it was reported on the news. Now it it looks like you are supposing.

Try to think for yourself little fella.

It looks like you've been thinking for yourself with your little fella. :rofl2:

you said he found a hole in security. I don't follow lamestream news or faux news, so instead of blurting out something, prove it. what security did the hotel have in place that specifically prevents customers from bringing weapons inside?

I haven't seen this alleged report, or any proof that it exists. Shouldn't Somad post a link? :dunno:

Sure, you can sue for anything in this country.

Every hotel has security.

Every hotel has a no weapons allowed policy.

Security is the dept tasked with enforcement of the no weapons policy.

Paddock obviously got around whatever security measures the hotel had in place.

It's called "logic".

A brainless Trumptard like you wouldn't understand the concept.
What do they do about gun shows, do you store weapons in their vault? I couldn't find their gun policy.

I did find you can't smoke marijuana at their hotel.

I don't see how they can blame the hotel. People sneak stuff into hotel rooms all the time. I do wish they would donate to the victims gofundme

BINGO!!!!

Now please explain that to your fucking idiot BFFs like Dumber Than Shit, God Hates Right-wing America and Toxic Turd Breath to name just a few.

My God the obtuse stupidity is so thick amongst the Trumptards around here, I have to have a machete with me every time I log in here, just to cut through it!!!!

It's a given that people can sue for anything. The discussion here is would a lawsuit have merit/hold up in court. I'm not a lawyer so I can't speak to it but if the expectation was to have a TSA type environment prior to this act then the Vegas strip will no longer exist.

You don't have to prove shit, retard.

The burden of proof in a civil lawsuit is THE PREPONDERANCE OF THE EVIDENCE.

If stupidity had a dollar value, you'd be Trump's best friend.

No, that's not what the discussion here was about.

The only question I posted was how much they'd be sued for.

Then your knee-jerk, wing-nut retard friends started shitting their drawers about it.

Nobody said the families of victims "can't sue", did they? Suing doesn't mean winning. People who file frivolous lawsuits find that out eventually.

It will be interesting to see if contingent liability is brought to bear regarding any claims against the hotel.

The preponderance of the evidence in this thread seems to lean toward a ruling that you're hardly an expert.

Case dismissed, with prejudice.

All rise! :rofl2:

At least 50 wrongful death lawsuits. Several hundred personal injury lawsuits.

Paddock exploited a hole in their security system in order to get the guns in his room.

Any guesses what the dollar value of the lawsuits might climb to?

Hundreds of millions or possibly even billions?

I predict $100 trillion
