Yeah, and parroting "soyboy" is really strong.

You're a dope.

I admitted in this conversation that from the soyboy perspective that you have, you may very well perceive something like this as "brave." I suppose it's clear now that thinking something is brave is a bit subjective. Seems I am more on the right path than you are. I can fully respect the soyboys interpretation of bravery, i.e. (doing something once everyone gives you permission to and makes sure you have lots of hugs and "support" while doing so). At the same time my interpretation of bravery really requires a bit more oomph to it.

maybe for a soyboy like yourself it is impressive, but allowing yourself to be victimized for years is not brave. They couldn't do shit about it until the group said it was ok.

because there was no support for coming out

You pretty much got trashed and saw no justice.

it was just how sociopaths like you liked it

poor no second date nate

Trump wilts at the slightest attack. Total meltdowns.

Bet you think he's all brave & manly.

Again - this is not opinion. To invite attacks from millions; to invite the orchestration of character assassination; to risk career, livelihood & reputation - these things are all very brave.

You should read more about Weinstein. He destroyed a few very promising careers. Do you think risking your career takes courage at all?

my point earlier, which you dodged, again, you do that a lot you know

Was that if these women were deserving of heroics they would have come forward a long time ago, silence while others were being abused by their attacker is kind of like the most cowardly thing one could do,
does that make any sense to you?

You didn't answer my question.

to answer your question, no, I don't think it takes courage when the alternative is to have been sexually assaulted and shutting up about it. Some things are more important than career, and the way I function and view the world, self respect and my commitment to my principles would override any fear of losing my job. Capitulating to these actions for ones career in my view would indeed by an act of cowardice, and honestly rather pathetic and shameful.

It takes courage whenever they come out.

Of course there is strength in #'s. That doesn't diminish what these victims endure when they do go public. This isn't even debatable. They are villified on the internet. There are organized & even funded efforts to completely destroy their character & reputation. With Weinstein, there was reportedly a group that he hired to track his victims and even try to intimidate them.

You guys are so detached & clueless about this one. It's a sad thing, but all the more reason why what happened this years is so important, and why TIME's choice is a good one.
