Dems now begging Al Franken to UNRESIGN

I hope he doesn't resign.

The things he's accused of, crude and ungentlemanly as they are, barely merit censure much less forced resignation.

At least he fessed up and admitted he'd misbehaved, unlike Trump and Moore who sleazily lie and deny.

The whole faux outrage over the possibility that Franken might not step down is for nothing else but deflecting attention from Trump's sleaze.

ROFLMAO

OMG you fuckers are so fucking predictable. It is almost like predicting the sun will come up in the morning.

Looks like you guys aren't really that serious about #Metoo.

I predicted that too. It will all blow all over. It is all fun and games when you are beating Republicans over the head with it, but it looks like you guys are getting too much blow back. Whatever will Rana do? She must be so conflicted. Here she was with her pink pussy hat ready to go a marching and now you guys are pouring cold water all over it.

I hope to fucking god he doesn't resign. It will be the best thing ever. Please God let Franken reverse course and stay in the Senate. Pretty fucking please.

I have been asked by the Mods to take a break from kicking liberals asses today and pointing out their hypocrisy. Poor GayRod has had a bad day.

Al Franken will resign tomorrow... leaving the Repukes to swear Roy Moore into the senate at an interesting time!

The presumption of innocence applies to criminal cases, not elections to Congress or the presidency.

The OP is a more extreme view of it, but the national perception is a pretty stark contrast right now: Democrats are condemning Franken and asking him to step down, and Republicans - led by Trump - are now all in on Moore, after some initial misgivings.

I think Republicans are making a big mistake; they're compromising a lot for a single Senate vote. They're giving Democrats a big issue to add to the '18 campaign.

Brilliant political analysis in my opinion. And the next 22 months will see how this plays out, But I suspect, long game, Roy Moore attaining a victory next week Will give the Democrats a better chance of controlling Congress after 2018.

What a contrast... Rump promoting Roy Moore’s election while the Democrats push out Franken... love it!

You've seen the accusations; you've seen Moore's contradictions.

Do you think what is happening to both Moore and Franken is "mass hysteria?" Franken has at last partially admitted to some guilt. Do you find Moore to be credible, in spite of some of his contradictions and "I don't recall" strategy?

None of what the Trump koolaid group is arguing on this thread matters.

Moore winning is going to give Democrats a very strong issue to campaign on in '18; the fact that many Dems are publicly asking Franken to step down draws a stark & identifiable contrast with Republicans on this issue.

Republicans know this; they are trading that for a single seat now. But again - none of it matters. This will be a problem for the GOP in '18, regardless of any spin.

It's a pretty public showing; but more importantly, there aren't any prominent Dems (that I've seen) publicly putting themselves out there in support of Franken, and arguing that he shouldn't step down.

You're blind if you can't see the contrast. I mean, Trump basically said that it's the seat that's important in AL. He wholeheartedly endorsed Moore, and most Republicans are now following suit.

It's always amazing, and kind of fun, when clueless posters shout their double-standard to the world….

Up to 28 Dem Senators now.

It's a little silly to try to make too much of that photo. That photo by itself isn't too much - it's the rest of the accusations that are much more incriminating.

Even though I was attacked for saying it would happen, Al Franken resigned today.

We don’t allow sexual harassers to represent our party, Much less child abusers.

Apples and oranges, dumbfuck.

Moore was not yet elected when the accusations against him came out. The voters have a right to know who wants to hold public office and nobody forced anyone to not vote for him. Plus, the things Moore is reported to have done, constitute felony crimes punishable by years in prison.

Al Franken on the other hand, is a serving Senator who had already been elected and reelected. Forcing him to resign was the will of other politicians, not the will of the voters. Finally, Franken was not accused of attempted statutory rape. The worst he was accused of doing was squeezing a buttocks or two through clothing and mouth kissing a bit too enthusiastically.

Not even in the same ballpark.

But we are all familiar with contard propaganda tactics, so we all expect for your kind to attempt to conflate the two vastly different cases.

Keep flailing though. You'll get nowhere but we'll be well entertained by it.

Do you have proof Moore did what he was ASSUSED of doing? We have proof that Franken actually did something. You're correct. Not in the same ballpark except to a Liberal that believe unsubstantiated accusations are worse than proven actions.

Seems you're confused. Actually doing something that can be proven is worse than claiming someone did something that hasn't been proven. You lefties seem to confuse those two.

thanks for the spin. Love it

sure looks that way..resign to get the heat off, and then wait for the wails of regret -and then magically un-resign

Taking something right out of the old Orangetweet playbook.

“In two weeks.”
“We’ll see.”
“Just wait.”

Proof of accusations against a CANDIDATE are not necessary because it's all got to do with what the voters believe. Nobody forced Moore to resign from anything he had been elected to.

In Moore's case, the entire town where he lived was familiar with his antics involving underage teenage girls. It was common knowledge.

Funny how you demand proof of accusations against a child molester, but you were happy to lap up any accusations made against Hillary Clinton regarding her emails.

And what proof is there that you claim exists against Franken? The pic of him PRETENDING to grope Tweeden's breasts? You can see plain as day that he isn't really touching her. I don't excuse what he did, it was stupid. But it falls far short of Moore driving a 14 y/o girl to a dark, secluded spot and trying to force her head into his crotch.

But then again, I guess for "some guys", that might just be a typical evening.

But he PROMISED TO RESIGN!!!!!! How do you get around that? THINK

Franken was defended by scores of women from places that he had worked with female staff that wrote group letters to praise his treatment of them while working with the

which other accussed people had that ?

I'm sure that is true for all those accused. For each woman or man they groped they worked with hundreds they treated well.
