President Trump Is Very Overweight, Won’t Stop Eating Burgers and Drinking Soda After Doctor's Visit

President Donald Trump was told more than a year ago by his doctor that he was overweight. But that hasn't stopped the White House resident from eating hamburgers and drinking soda.

The White House announced Thursday that Trump will undergo his first physical since becoming president on January 12. White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said the appointment will happen at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. White House physician, Rear Admiral Ronny Jackson, M.D., will examine the president 's health, just like he did for his predecessor, Barack Obama. But the president might not like what he hears after he steps on the scale for the doctor.

As a candidate in the 2016 election, Trump released a letter from his personal physician, Dr. Harold Bornstein, that revealed the former reality TV star weighed 236 pounds, meaning that his body mass index (BMI) of 29.5 made him overweight and bordering on obese. Trump's campaign said the letter revealed the results of a physical exam conducted by Bornstein in September 2016. Bornstein concluded in the letter that, "If elected, Mr. Trump, I can state unequivocally, will be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency."

Still, the president's poor eating choices have become somewhat of a national joke since the 2016 election. He once posted a picture on Twitter of him preparing to tackle a bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken. He is known to drink about a dozen Diet Cokes each day and likes to eat well-done steaks with a side of ketchup. And his former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski revealed in his recent book that Trump preferred to order two Big Macs, two Filet-o-Fish sandwiches and a chocolate milkshake from McDonalds to keep his energy up while on the campaign trail.

"Well, he never ate the bread, which is the important part," Lewandowski told CNN's Alisyn Camerota. "He was busy campaigning. We didn't have time to sit down for a meal." Even without the bread, the meal contains about 1,880 calories and a ton of sugar.

Beyond the president's diet, critics have raised other questions about his mental and physical health in part because Trump, 71, is the oldest man to serve as a first-year president. Most recently, he appeared to slur during an announcement earlier this month about recognizing Jerusalem as the capital city of Israel. Sanders told the press at the time that "the president's throat was dry, nothing more than that."

It's not wordsmithing to point-out that the whole "obesity" claim is a joke.

cypress is a circlejerking chucklefuck he never posts honestly why are you guys pretending he actually used logic ?

Medically you are obese when your body mass index is over 30%. I am betting that Trump doesn’t weight 236, and I bet his BMI is more than 30%.

We have no clue what his actual height is, either. A BMI of 29, however, is considered overweight. I would be more concerned about heart health, given that diet, as well as general blood vessel health. His "job" is mostly sedentary, and comes with a very high stress level. Even for a trim and fit younger man like President Obama, you could see it take its toll over the eight years that he served.

I'm surprised that Trump consented to the physical by a doc that wasn't on retainer. Are the findings a matter of public record, or does the president also enjoy physician-patient privilege?

I think the privilege still applies even if he goes to Bethesda.

Do you think he gets stressed over the weight of the job? I don’t think he has enough awareness to be concerned about how his decisions impact others.

I couldn't say about that. The job itself is a 24/7 thing, constantly surrounded by other people needing decisions made, meetings, briefings, etc. plus the inevitable time spent Tweeting about one's personal enemies and keeping the base riled up. Oh wait. That last part isn't in the job description. lol

It's his thoughts on exercise, and conserving that battery of his that is really troublesome. His exercise involves talking, golfing, pushing buttons on his phone, and walking to helicopters, and Air Force One. I'm actually amazed he's not in worse shape.

I know, right? OTOH my late father-in-law lived into his mid-90s. He was in his 60s-70s when I knew him. He was markedly obese, the only exercise he got was mowing the lawn, he insisted on food cooked with bacon grease and/or lard.... but still lived to be that old. He spent the last some years of his life, however, in a nursing home because he had dementia. Genetics has a lot to do with stuff.

Did you ever offer him your owl burger recipe?

My brother eats horribly. It's processed food, potatoes, pizza, bacon, and soda. He does eat salad, but no dressing, and covered with cheese, and bacon bits. He on the other hand works a lot, and is always tinkering with stuff. He, and a few others built a Garage from the ground up recently, so he can store, and work on his boat baby.
