You're right that it doesn't necessarily have to be lethal, but it would have to be considered excessive/toxic. He said any dose is an overdose, which is an ignorant statement. There is no toxic dose of LSD unless you really go overboard and take a completely unrealistic dose. (like 100 tabs or some shit and at $20 a tab nobody is taking a dose that large). Compare that with legal drugs like alcohol, it doesn't take much to drink a toxic amount. Alcohol poisoning is actually really common...too common. The only recorded instances of somebody getting hurt on LSD are because of what they do while on the drug. Like I said earlier, if you're a dumbass about it..don't take the proper precautions, and can't handle the dose you take. Psychedelics will bite back. If you don't respect them, they will fuck you up. But if you respect them, they can do alot of good...they can change your outlook of life very similar to the way terminally ill patients see life in their last moments.

So let's be clear other than having to do a lot of research, being reasonable about how much you take, and making sure you have a really good environment with cool people there isn't much to do in order to enjoy acid?

That's correct. And there's alot you can get out of it if you're smart about it. Before psychedelics were banned, they were used in microdoses by clinical psychologists to aid with mental illness. There's alot of scientific studies that show it cures depression, social anxiety, and such.

It's usually measured in micrograms. For your first time, it's recommended you take just one tab to get a feel for the effects (tabs are usually about 100ug-150ug depending on who you buy from, which would be 0.1mg and 0.15mg respectively). For more experienced trippers, 3-5 will get you where you want to be without being excessive. It's the people that take 10-15 who I consider asshats.

Eh, that's only about one tab. I mean I suppose if you consider anything above a microdose a "serious trip", then yes. SWIM only ever gets a little bit of a body high and some deep thinking from 100ug, but SWIM never gets any visuals until about 200-300ug. 100ug is actually roundly considered a good dose for a first timer.

I was selling them for a couple bucks a piece at high school. I put my jacket on the chair next to a radiator
They melted into a blob - made them un-sellable.

So I went to a party and just gave it away.. peel off a chunk and eat it.

Did they feel anything from that? I imagine the potency had to of gone down significantly, it's not good to keep them around heat and considering they straight up melted like that...

it was a party...late 60's or early 70's.. people were all fucked up on various substances.
I was in high school . I had a curfew.. I just wrote it off as Happy Daze...don't know .

That's entirely your subjective opinion. Most sane people define "too great a dose" as a harmful dose. Would you consider like 10ug to be an overdose? You wouldn't even get any effects from that, it'd just be eating paper.

No, sorry, defining overdose as any dose is pretty fucking ignorant. Even if you're against the drug, it would be intellectually honest to make a clear distinction between using a completely normal dose and a lethal/toxic dose. And to make a clear distinction between mushrooms/LSD and hard drugs like heroin, crack, PCP, etc. Neither of which you seem willing to do. Reminds me of the similarly ignorant dickwads in the fed govt who thought it was a bright idea to classify weed alongside heroin.

It is very clear you know nothing about psychedelics and should probably keep your thoughts to yourself on this one.
