you like to make excuses for your sociopathic heros to fuck the people huh

At a minimum the profit potential is eliminated, the single biggest reason claims are denied.

government has no incentive to maintain appropriate levels of care in medicaid either. face it, health insurance has always been a profit scam built upon preying against the fears of people.

this is absolutely false. I am friends with several people who have to deal with both VA and medicare/medicaid on a weekly basis. the stories would give you nightmares.
I deal with regular insurance and it gives me nightmares. It is still a very well performing agency for the majority. My husband has had no problems with VA or Medicare, we have been pretty impressed with both. His VA doctor is very thorough and very attentive.

Indeed. According to my mother, my step-father received very good care through the VA.

Private insurance companies generally do not want to touch old people and veterans with health problems with a 100 foot pole, those are the type of people insurance cannot make profit on without charging exhorbitant premiums.

That is exactly why we have the VA and Medicare. That is exactly the type of public service a civilized government is supposed to implement.

I believe this is a foreign concept to most conservatives, some of who were heard to yell "Let 'em die!" at a 2012 GOP presidential debate when the topic of government subsidized health insurance came up.

then he's very lucky. and yes, regular insurance also gives me, and others, nightmares.

gee now that you have paid in for years we are doubling your insurance payment right when you are retired

that way we can keep your money and pay you NOTHING

Do you understand basic mathematical principals?

"In the past two years, CNA Financial Corp. has increased the annual long-term-care insurance bill for Ms. Wylie and her husband by more than 90% to $4,831. They bought the policies in 2008, which promise future benefits of as much as $268,275 per person. The Wylies are bracing for more increases."

To be conservative: say they had been paying $4831 per year since 2008 (obviously they paid less in early years). That means they have put in $48,310 so far. For policies that provide benefits of about $536,550. Assume her husband is also 67. Do you see why their premium increases? Assume further they pay twice the amount over the next ten years that they did the first ten. That would be $96,620. Add that to the $48,310 and you get $144,930 paid into the policy. They are STILL getting about $380,000 in benefits that they don't have to pay for. Assume from 77-87 they pay another $144,930. Now they are about $290k paid in. If they use the policy, they still have bene's over what they paid in.

Obviously not everyone who buys a policy will use it. Just like not everyone with home owners insurance will need it. That is why the insurance companies can collect LESS than the policy value.

Learn how insurance works moron.

Also... part of the reason for the increases is that the cost of healthcare continues to skyrocket.

Medicare is pretty successful and it’s a government.

Only because it is largely subsidized by the private insurance sector.

That said, the implosion of Medicare is coming. They are either going to have to drop coverage for many things or they are going to bankrupt the country trying to pay for it.

which tells a customer who buys their product that they will fuck the client when they miscalculate costs

super duper strikes again

Thanks for proving what a fucking moron you are. You cannot even comprehend the basic mathematics. You should just go back to ripping off your renters and stealing food from the mouths of those families.

I understood the math idiot

who calculated the cost of their product?

when they sold the insurance product did they warn the buyer of huge price increases in the future ?

I bet that was not one of the selling tactics huh
