FBI Agents Allegedly Texted About ‘Secret Society’ The Day After Trump’s Election

I do read the National Review and the Weekly Standard, Townhall is even more reliable than Fox, for my conservative commentary. I like Politico, The Nation, BBC, Al Jazzeria, Vox and Spot-On for other sources.

some of those are alright, others........as bad as fox IMO. I prefer lesser known individual sources myself, but then people laugh at those as not being 'authorized media'. oh well, at least i'm getting real info.

No they are not, individuals as Gowdy, Nunes, and Jordan framing the facts and employing Fox as their megaphone is what is driving the narrative
so instead of blaming FOX, what you might think of is WHY "Fake News" (et all) ignoring the breaking facts?

I mean these are fairly shocking revelations when paired with the motivations of the characters shown by their relationships to each other and the FBI/DoJ.

IOWS...

you should be calling for other newz sites to be covering this, instead of complaining about it being covered only by Fox

if you've seen 10% of the crap concerning misconduct of police that I have and are not afraid, you're simply being ignorant and naive.

I've had bad interactions with the police. I'm not naive. I've been beaten while handcuffed to a cop car. But I'm not living in fear.

Hopefully "the memo" can put this into some context, as well as revealing yet more FISA abuses /corruptions

The corruption and abuse is all over the news ... when the 'victim' is Black. It's not like people are unaware.

then how about righteous anger?

Oh yeah, I'm very angry about corruption in gov't. It's one of the reasons I've been a Trumpster since day one.

This DOJ/FBI failed palace coup could really shake the people's confidence in our gov't.

Why are you so incurious about the FBI implementing ‘insurance policies’ if the election doesn’t turnout like they wanted?

Perhaps because what you have as "proof" of this insurance policy is two lovers sending thousands of emails on numerous topics back and forth and that it is it, hardly a veritable conspiracy by any standard

don't know how you can say that as the story keeps breaking, and finding new facts.
The facts are driving the story

Again, no, it is the narration of the "facts," as I just told the other guy, this whole conspiracy is based upon Emails on all kinds of topics going back and forth between two lovers who are FBI agents over a course of time, that is it, and based upon one reference to some secret society you think you have a validated conspiracy

Keep in mind, in the last eight years the same people have come up with an array of what they professed were validated conspiracies and not one of them were ever proven true

you are ignoring the other players and positions and actions.. DoJ holds back documents until the pressure breaks it thru. FBI "loses" 5 moths of texts??
FBI Comey knowingly lied that he "did not make a decision on Clinton prosecution" until after she was interviewed.
It goes on and on.

Look at the conflicts of interest..Look at the attempts to derail the investigation that "Papadapoulis did it" when it's evident the Steele dossier - paid for by the Clinton campaign ( thru lawyers) surely became reasons for FISA requests.

wait for the memo. more abuses to be shown, gawd knows what else..

And this whole farce drove the Mueller investigation, based on a house of cards

unfortunately I don't believe Trump will do much about law enforcement corruption since he seems to support everything they do at any given time.

the two FBI officials involved in a scandal over anti-Trump text messages referred to a “secret society” on the day after President Trump’s 2016 election win, two Republican lawmakers who have reviewed the exchanges said on Monday.

Appearing on Fox News, South Carolina Rep. Trey Gowdy and Texas Rep. John Ratclilffe said that the text message, which was exchanged between former FBI counterintelligence official Peter Strzok and FBI lawyer Lisa Page, is evidence of anti-Trump bias at the top levels of the FBI.

“We learned today about information that after — in the immediate aftermath of [Trump’s] election that there may have been a secret society of folks within the Department of Justice and the FBI to include Page and Strzok that would be working against him,” Ratcliffe told Fox’s Martha MacCallum.

You have this insurance policy in the spring of 2016 and then the day after the election, the day after what they really, really didn’t want to have happen, there’s a text exchange between these two FBI agents, these two supposed to be objective fact-centric FBI agents saying perhaps this is the first meeting of the secret society,” he said.

The “insurance policy” reference is to an Aug. 15, 2016 text message that Strzok sent to Page in which he said that he was “afraid that we can’t take that risk” — the risk being Trump’s election win.

“It’s like an insurance policy in the unlikely event you die before you’re 40,” Strzok wrote.

More proof the Deep State really does exist.
