97/72/43 - Approval numbers of the SOTU speech.

Your lack of self-reflection and awareness is also noted.

I'm incredibly self-aware. Don't try to compensate for your own lazy & thoughtless reply, which basically exposed a complete lack of credibility and an admission that you were essentially fabricating your previous characterization of my views.

If you have nothing else to offer, we're probably done here.

This isn't even all of them.

"Just as I promised the American people from this podium 11 months ago, we enacted the biggest tax cuts and reforms in American history."
It is False that the tax-cut package passed in December is the largest cut ever, as Trump has repeatedly claimed.

"After years of wage stagnation, we are finally seeing rising wages."
We rated Trump’s claim Mostly False. By the most common measure, wages did go up for the first three quarters of Trump’s presidency, but they fell in the fourth, wiping out all the gains on his watch and then some. His assertion also ignores that wages — by two different measurements — began their climb during the final years of Obama’s presidency.

"Our massive tax cuts provide tremendous relief for the middle class and small businesses."
The tax bill does benefit Americans with modest incomes initially, but the wealthy take a disproportionate share.

"We have eliminated more regulations in our first year than any administration in the history of our country."
Trump has a point here, but it's not the whole story. Trump’s use of the Congressional Review Act to roll back regulations did set a record in his first year. Trump had signed 15 Congressional Review Act measures compared with one previously. But experts have told us that other presidents signed laws that cut more rules than Trump.

"The third pillar ends the visa lottery — a program that randomly hands out green cards without any regard for skill, merit, or the safety of American people."
We rated Trump’s claim False. While lottery applicants are randomly selected, they must meet education and work experience requirements. They must also be vetted by the United States government before being allowed to come to the United States.

"Under the current broken system, a single immigrant can bring in virtually unlimited numbers of distant relatives."
We rated this claim Mostly False. Neither U.S. citizens nor lawful permanent residents can directly petition for a distant relative -- like an aunt, uncle, cousin, niece, nephew, in-law relative or grandparent -- to come to the United States.

"In the past, we have foolishly released hundreds and hundreds of dangerous terrorists, only to meet them again on the battlefield — including the ISIS leader, al-Baghdadi, who we captured, who we had, who we released."

We rated this statement Mostly False. Trump overstated the number of prisoners released from Guantanamo, who were confirmed to have re-engaged in some type of terrorist activity. That number is 122, not "hundreds and hundreds."

He is also not entirely right that al-Baghdadi was "released" by the United States. The ISIS leader was handed over to the Iraqis in 2004. The Iraqis released him some time later.

"We have ended the war on American Energy and we have ended the war on beautiful clean coal. We are now, very proudly, an exporter of energy to the world."
We rated this claim Mostly False. The United States remains a net energy importer, a situation that’s not expected to change until midway through the next decade.
When it comes to individual energy sources, the U.S. status as a net exporter of coal and refined petroleum products predates Trump.

So in your very first 'lie'... you source politifact which in turn distorts what Trump said? Trump said it was the biggest tax cut in history. Not 'this cost the country the most in tax cut history'.

Why should we even discuss if you use such shoddy 'evidence'?

I gave you the chance to explain yourself on three simple issues and you pretend that I didn't. That explains your character well enough.

You gave me the chance to "explain myself?" Is that what you call that?

No - you shot from the hip, with no knowledge, on what you assumed my views were. Immediate credibility nosedive. And you followed it up w/ an ad hom.

You have nothing.

Now your whining about Grind's joke on you. More exposure of your weak character.

Just an observation, and a small part of my reply. The ad hom & your attempts to cover your lie are actually weak character.

Sorry 'bout that. Try not to be so assumptive, and you won't find yourself in these kinds of situations where you have to try to tapdance all over the place to cover your dishonesty.

You're the one being dishonest here. Insisting otherwise again shows your weak true character.

Wow you really are a hack. I quoted exactly what trump said and it is false. All the fact checkers said the same. If you can't discuss this honestly then I agree it's pointless.

"That same day, he told Lou Dobbs of the Fox Business Network, "We’re bringing the corporate rate down to 20 percent from 35 percent. ... This will be the biggest tax cut in history. In the history of our country."

Trump said the GOP tax plan he is supporting is "the biggest tax cut in U.S. history."

Even the most expansive estimate for the current proposal’s tax cut is exceeded by the 1981 tax cut in inflation-adjusted dollars. And as a percentage of GDP, a half-dozen or more previous tax cuts were larger.

We rate the statement False.

“The biggest winners will be middle class, business, and jobs”. All opponents grade Trumps claim as false because they don’t count his business/corporate tax cuts.

Once again democrats present the argument under false terms, and then argue they are right.

Again. Biggest tax cut does not mean 'what was tax cuts net cost'. If a tax cut was $7T and produced additional revenue of $6.85T, that is bigger than a $1T tax cut that produced additional revenue of 400B.

But you are too ignorant to comprehend that aren't you Christie? You instead go to 'truth o meter'??? LMAO.

You are just constitutionally unable to argue with liberals without resorting to ad homs. Grow up already.

I posted exactly what trump said and all the fact checks were based on what he said. You don't get to change that fact.

AND AGAIN... your 'fact checks' did not check what HE SAID. They spun it into something else and then rated it 'false'. That is the problem with your 'fact checkers'. They are blatantly misrepresenting what he said.

They did the same damn thing with the third one....""Our massive tax cuts provide tremendous relief for the middle class and small businesses."
The tax bill does benefit Americans with modest incomes initially, but the wealthy take a disproportionate share."

Look at what Trump stated. It is 100% true. he did not state what proportion they got, just that they would benefit greatly. Which they will. The so-called fact checker then distorted the comment into some proportionate argument.

Bottom line... your 'fact checkers' blatantly twisted what was said into completely different discussions so that they could proclaim trump 'false'

The Never Trump movement is softening, IMO.

But I totally agree totally with the gist of your post. Trump is the man for the hour.

It’s not that Trump uses Twitter—it’s the way he uses it. Granted, probably 90% of his Tweets are either on message or on a topic our useless media is trying hard to ignore. But the media leaps on the other 10% of them.

And yes, I’m done with the ‘mild mannered mediocrity’ of establishment republicans like Romney. They have gotten us nowhere.

I would agree that some NeverTrumpers are coming around. Threedee isn’t as intransigent as he used to be. Cawacko on the other hand is like a little child stomping his feet over wanting an Xbox One and getting and Xbox 360
