Texas police shot a man after he disarmed a potential church shooter who had been holding more than 100 people hostage in at a congregation in Amarillo.

Joshua Len Jones, 35, barged into a church service*at the Faith City Mission in Amarillo, on Valentine's Day and pulled out a gun.

Churchgoer Tony Garces managed to disarm Jones during a scuffle, but when police arrived, they shot Mr Garces instead.

i see none of you fucking anti gun shits bothered even criticizing the armed government enforcement agents for their mistake, just blamed the victim.

Perfect example of why it's a bad idea to possess guns in public.

Even if you're trying to save innocent victims from some maniac, how are the cops supposed to know that?

To them, you're a guy with a gun at an active shooter scene and they don't have time to ask questions.

Guns do nothing but create more problems than they solve.

WTF are you talking about :palm:

Cops are saving their own lives. They will shoot whoever they see as a threat. Kill them, then sort it out later. They are human being. They are as scared as you would be. Trump would have solved it all, and he did not need a weapon. But cops still do.

From the OP's link

"He described how officers ordered him to throw the gun to the floor, but that he hesitated as he was worried that the loaded gun would go off if he did so.

I didn't want anyone else getting hurt. Then pop, pop they shot me."

Overreaction in my opinion.

Are you saying law enforcement should just shoot anyone possessing a gun without hesitation?
The guy didn't want to throw the gun on the floor for fear of it going off.
Oh, and by the way, no shots were fired, it wasn't an "active shooter scene."

Happens to Black People all the time, where have you been for the last Decade?

No, I did not say anything even close to that you lying asshole.

Must be sad to have to resort to that kind of dishonesty to push your phony-baloney agenda.

Whatever. Makes little difference.

The cops were called because a guy with a gun was threatening innocent people by waving a gun around. The cops got there and saw a guy with a gun. Who got shot? The guy who was holding the gun.

Did the cops make a mistake? Obviously. Can you blame them? Hard to say. They know they walk the finest of lines between damned if they do and damned if they don't.

It all your typical attempts at deflection aside, it only serves to prove my point.

Possessing a gun in public only increases your chances of getting shot or shooting somebody else.
