Yeah, Justice Jackson did...but I'll stick with Lincoln, better to make the point that American conservatives and Libertarians seem intent on turning the Constitution into a suicide pact.

the problem lies with liberals, like yourself, that think people need to be controlled. governing is not controlling the people. and freedom is not a suicide pact, at least to freedom lovers.

Since you asked, I think our founding fathers would have considered today's Libertarians to be jackasses. I think they would have understood that society and civilization require that each individual give up lots of their freedom...for the better good of society and civilization.

But I understand. For people like you, red lights and stop signs, among other things, are an inconvenience.

Well, Smarter, "freedom" implies obligation...whether you can see it or not.
