Call it what you want. If there is a gun within the zone the zone is not gun free.
so if the government ignores a clearly established gun free zone, should we mere civilians be able to ignore it as well?
Call it what you want. If there is a gun within the zone the zone is not gun free.
So he was hired to be a "bad guy with a gun"?
Now you are failing.

Whoever calls it whatever.gun free zones are notorious for making civilians gun free while it provides exemptions for authorized law enforcement personnel. you fail.
May he be forever known as the Broward Coward. Gov't Union LE employees failed the children at every turn.![]()
so if the government ignores a clearly established gun free zone, should we mere civilians be able to ignore it as well?
So the L E union killed the kids?
Yeah , you go with that, republican.

And you go with your liberal definition of a "good guy" equals "coward".
And continue to ignore the dozens of failures of the Police, FBI, and social workers that were charged with the responsibility of protecting the public.
The phrase was coined by the NRA. Not I.

So? What does that have to do with the definition of a "good guy"? There is no logical connection.
Do you think the unarmed coach who died using his body as a human shield to save children ... was a "good guy"? I know you won't answer That.![]()
"I think if we were going to look seriously at school shootings and gun control, we would analyze things like "why do all mass shootings seem to take place in gun-free zones?" Wouldn't it be reasonable to test whether or not the efficacy of gun-free zones have actually achieved what their intended intent is."
Sounds logical.

Whoever calls it whatever.
The fact remains that: The "gun free zone" at Parkland was not "gun free".
The term is erroneous.
In actuality it was a "gun restricted zone".
But that language would "trigger" some people, wouldn't it.
we would analyze things like"
"Unfortunately, gun violence cannot be analyzed because the NRA consistently blocks the study of gun violence.
so now you want to blame people for the government definitions provided to us.............
"we would analyze things like"
"Unfortunately, gun violence cannot be analyzed because the NRA consistently blocks the study of gun violence.

The CDC has no reason to study it because gun violence isn't a disease, it's a crime. They should study ways to cure the flu, let criminologists study gun crime.
and yet, were you or I to take a gun there, we'd be arrested and imprisoned..........
I'm just correcting the misconception that there weren't any guns on the campus that arises when people describe the site as a "gun free zone".
Not if we were certified and badged "good guys".
Gun violence, in and of itself, may not be a disease of the mind, but hoplophilia and gun fetishism is.
There are even people who become sexually aroused when fondling certain firearms.
It is a real illness.
