FOX's LAURA INGRAHAM "on vacation"

I wonder is she is going to return from vacation. Is it a Bill Oreilly type vacation?

Napolitano took a 'vacation' from Fox News after claiming that British intelligence wiretapped Trump Tower in 2016 at the request of President Obama. Sean Spicer (remember him?) sparked a diplomatic furore by repeating the unsubstantiated claim at a press conference.

Fox said later it could not source the claim, but Napolitano was back on air after a couple of weeks.

You mean like she tried to SHUT DOWN a kid? So shutting down is ONLY allowed on one side? Or is it an age thing? You can shut down KIDS but not grownups??

FUCK HER and her followers! And always FUCK FOX!

Where did she ever try to shut Boss Hogg down. Provide the quote. She called him a whiner which is an accurate appraisal of what he is.

I get it. He is the new face of the anti 2nd Amendment crowd. He is to gun control what Cindy Sheehan was to the Iraq War. He is nothing more than a useful idiot to the cause of the left. Despite all of his buffoonery and over the top attention seeking your side has conferred special status upon him.

I will wait patiently while you try to provide proof of ANYONE trying to shut Boss Hogg down. Quite the contrary like Hillary, I want him front and center.

I predict that this will backfire on the left.

Because everybody is pulling for MSD survivors, are we (or the press) required in a moral sense to put other issues of their beliefs, stances and politics aside in the moment?

Attacking a teenage survivor of a mass school shooting is pretty damn toxic .. as evidenced by the speed of advertisers dumping her.

This is more evidence of right-wing loss of power and influence in this nation. America is evolving, and the right will have to adjust to a very different America. They know it .. hence their fear of everything and everybody.

It's EVIL. You don't punch down on kids.

VILIFYING kids and calling them names is 'setting your moral and political sensibilities aside'?? Really?

Another swing at the bat of false equivalency. The Right is taking that to a new 'art form'.

He was not a surviver, he ran to the school with his camera.

Maybe it is a weakness of mine - an inability to be ruthless. But, I personally thought her apology looked fairly genuine and acceptable, if I did not look at it with a jaded and cynical eye. Part of me actually has a tiny little bit of empathy for her....what the hell is wrong with me??!!!

What about all the other hateful, shameful, racist, ugly shit she's said about Black and other minorities?

She should have been gone off the air a long time ago.

Advertisers didn't leave till she shamed a young white boy...........just saying

I'm simply asking a wide open question here. After reading more answers I'll explain a bit more. But, thanks for your reply. ;)

So, you would agree that the press should not "attack" a mass shooting survivor? Correct?

Absolutely not! It was VAPID. It was an apology 'approved', likely written by FOX'S legal department.

Remember the phrase, 'non denial denial' from the Watergate era? We need a phrase for fake apologies. Maybe the 'NON-apology apology'.

I do not discount that is was an apology coerced from her by Fox management.
I have no doubt that this Laura lady is a Trump loving deplorable.

I just can't always let the cynic in me hold sway, man!

Here is the place I am coming from: I know what it is like to make a mistake, offer an apology, and have it be rejected. It does not feel good.
Also, in this political landscape, and even on this message board there are many people who will lie their asses off, lie right to your face, slander, and libel, without the slightest conscience, without the barest hint of remorse, and who will never, ever apologize for it. Just look at Trump, for example. So, from that angle, I can at least see where this lady might be given a nod for some social etiquette.

But all that said, I can totally respect that many will consider her apology suspect and coerced.

You do not go to Fox for news or the truth. You want your daily fix of hate and propaganda. Want someone to say being a hater is ok.

I get what you are saying.
She is a deplorable.

She is a deplorable.

And I do understand you have a heart. :clink:

It's easy to feel compassion for someone, even those we despise. It takes a certain kinda person to be that way.

But at some point, racist need to start being held accountable for what they say and do. They can't keep getting away with it.

The vagaries of the entertainment business is one day you're up and the next you're down but come backs are always available to the truly repentant.

I'll open it up one more time.
Should a member of the press comment/critique/opine on a mass shooting survivor in regards to OTHER aspects of the survivor's life, work, political stances, beliefs or ANYTHING else UNRELATED too being a mass shooting survivor?
(I am obviously not asking if a mass shooting survivor should be criticized for BEING a mass shooting survivor)
