I don't believe anyone is claiming the wall will stop 100% of the illegal border crossings. It will stop a lot though, not just as a stand alone, but it will slow crossers down making it easier for border control agents to intervene. It will also make it more difficult and expensive for the average would be illegal immigrant, thus acting as a deterrent to them even attempting to cross.

Mine fields in front of the wall and in back of the wall will get it pretty close to 100%. Just saying.

You conservatives are dreaming when it comes to a Wall, to begin with, the Federal Gov't actual owns a very small percentage of the land that would be necessary to build a continuous Wall, that along would keep the whole project tied up in Courts for over a decade

And unless you are going to man any Wall with the military as they do in Israel and most likely would be illegal in the US, it ain't stopping anyone, history has taught us there always exists a way over or under any barrier
