I love how the stance of the rabid righties on the thread is that unless we admit he was guilty of murder 1, we're apologizing for him & making him out to be a hero.

Who are the hacks here? You guys have been obsessed w/ Chappaquiddick for decades. As I said w/ my 1st comments, I thought the film - which is supposedly very true to what actually happened, and was certainly not sympathetic to the Kennedys - surprised me. I think I've listened to "murder" from the righties for too long, because his actions didn't strike me as even close to as scandalous as they have been portrayed.

Irrelevant, "righties" and "lefties", the masses, must be kept quibbling amongst themselves lest they cast their gaze toward their common oppressor.
 
And I find it incredibly hard to believe that a guy who wanted the state of California under the ocean suddenly cares deeply about a liberal Democrat campaign worker.
 
Kennedy got away with, at the very least, with manslaughter....

The double standard for the rich and famous and the rest of us is obvious....

The rich and famous and especially if your a Democrat, are mostly above the law....as it was then and as it IS now....
