US, France and UK strike Syria's chemical weapons program...

There wasn't? You mean Chris Stephens was never killed and there was never an attack that we have been fed fake news for years? Damn I bet the was no holocaust, the world is flat and cows can really jump over the moon and lastly they really do have a UFO at Area 51. Thanks for clearing up those mysteries for me. :whoa:

There has never been a consulate in Benghazi.. Ambassador Stevens was there on an over night trip to a rented villa.

Have you ever set foot in any consulate?

As a matter of fact I have sport. And thanks to you I now know the Benghazi attack never happened the CIA was never in Libya or Benghazi. And the Titanic was sunk by a UFO.

It make no difference whether it was a consulate or a CIA operation the fact remains taking Gaddafi out set the stage for what happened in Libya.

There was no ' chemical weapons program to attack '.

Chemical weapons inspectors begin their analysis of the alleged incident today. Cart before horse ? Yes- the UK leadership could not risk a parliamentary vote. It has pissed upon its own democracy.

Russia has called for an emergency Security Council meeting as the US, UK and France have clearly parted company with their UN Charter obligations. We are criminals, folks- just like the ' Israelis '- and that's what all this is about.

Russian TV shows their defence department analysis of the strike. It was limited, aimed at defunct facilities . There were, apparently, few or no casualties. No Russians or Iranians were harmed.
Syria's ageing missile defense system brought down many of the 100+ missiles used against it. The Russians gave an exact tally of launches and successful defenses. The Brits launched Tornadoes from their Cypriot base and did not enter Syrian airspace. According to the Russians no French forces were used at all.

Russia will now equip Syria with its advanced defense system- and also its other allies in the region and elsewhere.

With the inspectors starting work today we look very stupid. The level of British stupidity can be gauged from this statement;

Blow them up. Got it ? That's ' up' as in 'up '.

It seems that the Russians will not escalate this matter unless there are any more strikes. No real damage has been done. You'd better cross your fingers and pray that Trump leaves it at that. Clinton wouldn't.
Are you saying Trumps missle didn’t penetrate again?

There was NO consulate.. Consulates have a diplomatic mission, consular officers and a Marine Guard. The CIA has a covert operation at the Annex trying to identify US friendly militias who might be amenable to reinstating the old Libyan constitution. The men there were translators, computer experts and translators... not muscle.

Congress had voted no funding for security except for the embassies in Iraq and Afghanistan.

yeah, I wonder why Trump didn't react that time......oh, wait....
On the morning of 7 April 2017, 72 hours after the attack, the United States launched 59 cruise missiles on Shayrat Airbase, a Syrian airfield near Shayrat, believed to be the base for the aircraft that carried out the chemical attack.[26]

He blew up some empty hangers. BFD.
Assad didn't even lose any sleep then or last night.
It was a show for YOUR benefit, nothing more.

Let me type this real slow so you might get it. It makes no difference whether you call it a consulate, or a diplomatic post. The attacks were real and a result of toppling Gaddafi. So play all the word games you want facts are facts.

Gaddafi was killed by a Libyan mob not the US.

House Republicans voted to cut nearly $300 million from the U.S. embassy security budget.

how could it not be a consulate if there was an ambassador there?

Consulates and diplomatic posts have Marine Guard security.. the rented villa in Benghazi did not.

I have, was in the US consulate in Saigon two years ago. Yes that's right, the one where the last helicopter flew from. Of course it was the US embassy back then but that is now in Hanoi.

As it should.

We are America, we have the world's best military, and we should open a can of whoop ass on countries that don't respect us.

"No significant punitive or strategic damage to Assad's ability to keep and use chemical weapons.
One of the supposed targets was supposedly a chemical weapons research lab. Who needs research to produce chlorine gas?
I can make up a batch in my kitchen right now.
No asses were "whooped", Komrade.
But you knew that.

Republicans in Washington have let liberal Democrats handcuff the US military too many times. Hopefully Trump will put an end to that and make repeated strikes when necessary.
