Bush wasn't President when that record number were using food stamps. You can call it by whatever name you want. It doesn't change that it's a leech program giving the money that one person earned to someone unwilling to support and feed even their own family members.

Sorry, the record food stamp use occurred during Obama's 2nd term and at a time when claims of significant drops in unemployment had been occurring for several years. Can't blame that on Bush.

He did. but he had to fix the repub/right wing mess of Bush. that took time. It is like our constitution says? "looking after the general welfare." I know, you want to kill and eat those who are needy and sick.

General welfare doesn't mean someone unwilling to do for themselves gets taken care of because their lazy ass refuses to do so.

I want people to do for themselves what they should be doing for themselves. Feeding yourself and your family is the most basic need one should meet.

Obama didn't do any better. Despite claiming unemployment was going down, food stamp use was going up.

Yet what I think is it means is the same as the founders. What you think it means isn't.

It's OK. Most recipients like you believe what someone else earned is somehow yours. Earn it, do for yourself, or do the rest of us a favor and starve.
