ALERT: Active shooter at Santa Fe Tx. High school

Where did you get AR15 from?

They're saying he stole a shotgun and a pistol from his father.

So how and why was he able to steal firearms from his idiot "good guy with a gun" father to begin with?

Why are so many "law abiding gun owners" so careless and lazy that they allow their guns to be stolen?

If it's found that the kid easily got ahold of those guns because of his father's negligence in storing and locking them up, then he should be charged criminally.

And every other parent to whom it could apply.

Delinquent parents again probably. You're kid wears a trench coat to school every single day of the year, T shirt with "Born To Kill" on it and likes wearing Nazi emblems on his clothes??? WTH?

Oh yeah, I forgot...........also likes to make pipe bombs and explosives. Helloooooooooo mom & dad!!!!!!!!!!:palm:

Delinquent *idiot gun owner* parents, apparently.

And yet, thanks to the NRA and the political right, these delinquent morons were allowed to own and keep guns in their house.

The government and the NRA are not babysitters. There were enough clues in this kid's behavior and interests that should have been addressed well before today.

Nobody is asking them to babysit.

Time to attach hard and severe punishment for people who don't lock their guns in sturdy safes that cannot be easily opened, or who negligently allow unauthorized people to access them.

Not to mention negligent and not responsible gun owners. Time to stop protecting the 2nd Amendment rights of these idiots.

Please explain how you plan to strip me of my Constitutional right to bear arms.

I'll understand if you can't.

How would you enforce such a requirement?

BTW, I'm pretty sure that most families would allow their members access.

No Nazi emblems that I've seen, and it wasn't a "trench coat"...minor points, I know.

I'll go along with that!

The shooter, who is currently in police custody, was was reportedly wearing uniform-like attire with Nazi and World War II emblems on it.

Damon Rabon, a student at Santa Fe High School was just one classroom away from where the shooting happened in the art hall during first period, he told CBS News. Rabon said the substitute teacher went out and looked and saw the shooter, who he described as a short male wearing a black trench coat carrying a backpack and armed with a sawed-off shotgun. While Rabon did not name the shooter he described him as a quiet and “weird” type of guy who stood out because he wore a trench coat every day.

Simple.

If, in the course of an investigation it is found that your kid or other family member got ahold of a gun which he then used to commit a crime with, you get charged as an accessory to whatever crime he is charged with.

A minor child should not be authorized to have access to a parent's guns.

Not babysitters but they still have a moral obligation to prevent school kids from being shot and killed in a blood lust.
