School Shootings

I did not claim you made a point about video games.

If you are 45 then I am a year older than you and our generation had juvenile crime rates that surpass todays. There were many school shootings.

I recall no school shootings, not saying they didn't happen but they certainly weren't on the news like today nor were high school kids on national talk shows etc.

I still don't even get your point unless this is tribalism I'm clearly missing

Link to all the school shooting from the 70s

He did? He took guns that didn't belong to him to school despite it being a gun-free zone, and committed illegal murders. Tell me which of your proposals for new laws would have prevented that?

I'll understand if you can't.

As I said, he complied with the law until he didn't. Comprehension isn't your strong suit.

Either is anything but binary thinking. You idiots always ask "what law would have prevented THIS shooting?" Unable to think long range, just in the present for your tiny little minds.

There have been 18 school shootings in the US in 2018 | WLOS

There have been at least 18 school shootings across the United States in 2018 ... affected for up to three years following a school shooting that happens inside ...

Yes, I make that claim and I stand by it. There are far more people who play these games that are well adjusted individuals than there are people who walk into schools and shoot them up. If video games were the cause there would be many more shootings taking place. I don’t need a study to realize this. It’s obvious.

I grew up watching violent cartoons and I have never felt the need to hurt another person, let alone commit mass murder.

Exactly, same here. My kids grew up playing video games and not a single one of them has murdered anyone, let alone struck someone in anger. The blame-video-games is just a deflection so we won't look at the real cause -- easy availability of massive firepower formerly only belonging to the military.

Ironic considering you just took the time to bitch about Owl doing this exact same thing. You fucking hypocrite.

He's good at hypocriticality. My favorite examples are when he starts a thread to complain bitterly about being banned from someone else's thread -- and bans ppl from his own.

Yep. Columbine was almost 20 years ago... 1999. In 1996, a kid brought a handgun to school and walked past my oldest daughter in the h.s. corridor between classes. He held his algebra teacher and class hostage till he was finally talked into giving up. Thankfully no shots fired. But yep... even back then. BTW, school shootings date back to the 1700s in the U.S.

Good insight.

You would not actually believe the number of people I have slaughtered, disemboweled, vaporized, terminated, and dispatched with ruthless abandon is the most violent, gory video games imaginable. And surprisingly, outside of self defense, I have never lifted a hand or committed violence against anybody. I would not even water board Donald Trump, even if offered substantial sums of money to do it...and, if I may say so, that is really a testament to my self-control!

Same here. Water is life and doesn't deserve that sort of treatment.

Yes, and he previously accused me of being a snowflake unable to accept other opinions etc...and then he blocks me. The irony should burn.

Well, it would if there was any sort of intellect or principles there, but alas. He's a true representative of the Trumpanzee tribe.

Another lie from the intellectually handicapped Queen of the cesspool.
This is what is required to purchase "massive firepower formerly only belonging to the military;"

Current or past military service.
Current or past law enforcement service
Participation in a rifle, pistol, air gun or shotgun competition (provide copy of results bulletin).
Completion of a marksmanship clinic that included live fire training (provide a copy of the certificate of completion or a statement from the instructor).
Distinguished, Instructor, or Coach status.
Concealed Carry License.
Firearms Owner Identification Cards that included live fire training. - FFL or C&R license.
Completion of a Hunter Safety Course that included live fire training.
Certification from range or club official or law enforcement officer witnessing shooting activity. Complete the CMP Marksmanship Form to certify your range firing and the required marksmanship related activity for an individual to purchase from the CMP.

These requirements are strictly enforced, and NO select fire or fully automatic weapons are available.
Try again, you lying hypocrite.

You've got to love her habitual storytelling, though...the self-incriminating ones don't even slow her down...or lessen the "worship"...She's got it down to an art...

They are less frequent, but more violent.

https://news.northeastern.edu/2018/...e-safest-places-for-children-researcher-says/

Four times the number of children were killed in schools in the early 1990s than today, Fox (not Fox news haha... Alan Fox the researcher) said.

Awful to kill children just so that cowards can feel brave as they hide under the bed with their bang-bangs, ranting about their Constitutions!
