'Stage is SET' for Italy to leave the EU and Brussels is to BLAME

Granted, getting Italy off its hands is a positive for the EU, but, I do enjoy seeing the dominos fall.

The EU has sown the seeds of its own destruction, like all empires it has tried to expand and control all that it surveys. To quote Arthur Bomber Harris: "They sowed the wind, and now, they are going to reap the whirlwind".

That's Hosea 8:7..

You admire Arthur Harris?

Hague said that Italy may leave the eurozone, not the EU:

"If the new political leaders want to trigger the bust-up that could lead to Italy leaving the euro ... the stage will be perfectly set for it"

but "There are formidable political obstacles to leaving the euro."

This is where he said it:

Leaving the Eurozone is just the first stage, there is a big movement in Italy to leave the EU as well.

The Eurozone has been crushing Italy for well over a decade, which is why they are especially keen to get away from it. I imagine they will still feel that their presence in the EU is not helping its situation with labor costs.

Well, that's what Hague wrote! Leaving the euro.

What the Express makes of it is between them and their readers. :)

The Northern League made leaving the EU part of its election platform, if it refused to renegotiate its fiscal and immigration rules. The EU has stated many times that membership of the Euro will be mandatory in future for all member states.

im not sure it would be positive. I think it will be for Italy but the EU uses countries like Italy to keep the Euro artificially weak which benefits its major players like germany.

Which led to the saying, Now you're cooking with gas!

Churchill wanted to use chemical weapons against the Bolsheviks, think how much different the world would have been if he succeeded.

A staggering 50,000 M Devices were shipped to Russia: British aerial attacks using them began on 27 August 1919, targeting the village of Emtsa, 120 miles south of Archangel. Bolshevik soldiers were seen fleeing in panic as the green chemical gas drifted towards them. Those caught in the cloud vomited blood, then collapsed unconscious.

The attacks continued throughout September on many Bolshevik-held villages: Chunova, Vikhtova, Pocha, Chorga, Tavoigor and Zapolki. But the weapons proved less effective than Churchill had hoped, partly because of the damp autumn weather. By September, the attacks were halted then stopped. Two weeks later the remaining weapons were dumped in the White Sea. They remain on the seabed to this day in 40 fathoms of water.

Italy backslides on most deals. They would prefer to not actually pay all their bills unless they feel like it. Very Trump like in that.
