Why is he so disrespectful to the military?

The police cannot prevent people from speeding, does that mean it is okay? Does that make sense?

The rules are not ambiguous; they are pretty clear. Players have to stand with helmets in hand and refrain from talking or there can be consequences.

Again, you are wrong.

The rule you cited does NOT say players HAVE to stand with helmets in hand or there WILL be consequences.

It clearly states players SHOULD stand with helmets in hand and refrain from talking or there MAY be consequences.

Not WILL...but SHOULD.

Not "will"...but "SHOULD"

Not "WILL result"...but MAY result.

And there goes your whole argument.

Here's the actual statement that revises the manual version above:

POLICY STATEMENT

The 32 member clubs of the National Football League have reaffirmed their strong commitment to work alongside our players to strengthen our communities and advance social justice. The unique platform that we have created is unprecedented in its scope, and will provide extraordinary resources in support of programs to promote positive social change in our communities.

The membership also strongly believes that:

(1) All team and league personnel on the field shall stand and show respect for the flag and the Anthem.
(2) The Game Operations Manual will be revised to remove the requirement that all players be on the field for the Anthem.
(3) Personnel who choose not to stand for the Anthem may stay in the locker room or in a similar location off the field until after the Anthem has been performed.
(4) A club will be fined by the League if its personnel are on the field and do not stand and show respect for the flag and the Anthem.
(5) Each club may develop its own work rules, consistent with the above principles, regarding its personnel who do not stand and show respect for the flag and the Anthem.
(6) The Commissioner will impose appropriate discipline on league personnel who do not stand and show respect for the flag and the Anthem.

I hope ZappaCrite is okay with these MANDATORY revisions to the rules. It doesn't leave any room for doubt. Poor Zappacrite. :rofl2:

No, it just means when you claimed that players MUST take a knee, that you were LYING yet again.

No, I wasn't wrong, I just didn't have the revision as shown above. You can apologize to me now for your uncivil bullshit. :rofl2:

So then you WERE LYING when you said the players are not allowed to kneel during the anthem.

That's not what I said at all, but everyone at JPP learned a long time ago that you simply refuse to quote others honestly.

That is a lie; I never falsely quote anyone. I have no need to because unlike you, I deal in facts. If I modify anyone's quotes, I do so in crayon to show where I have modified them. So please, don't lie.

You are nothing more than a sleazy liar

Irony; a repugnant brain dead leftist liar claiming others lie. You're welcome to link me up to anything you consider to be a lie and I will mop the floor with your hair again.

Read no.3. They can lay down during the anthem. They can sit on a toilet.

They can.

I don't recall pretending that a rule would prevent them from doing whatever they like.

As long as the team's owners are willing to pay the fines and accept the consequences, players can take a shit on the flag if they want to.

But there is a difference between "cannot" and "shall not" in the execution. Just as a thief can steal in violation of the law that says they "shall not".
