Did Trump back down?

Several:

1. We allow anyone to seek asylum here.

2. We destroyed their countries with our covert drug war, flooding Central America with US-made weapons. 40% of the weapons in Central America come from the US. Guess how? IRAN-FUCKING-CONTRA. Otherwise known as the last time Conservatives conspired with hostile foreign governments and then lied about it.

3. Since the USSR isn't around anymore, we bear the responsibility of what happened in Central America because of our shitty foreign policy.

4. Taking in refugees gives us unquestioned moral standing in the world.

5. It's basic human decency.

You don't know shit about our immigration laws. Anyone can come and declare asylum here, as it should be. So how about this bargain; we kick you people out, send you to Russia where you really want to be, and then move these refugees in. That way, they can clean up shit states like Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and the Mountain West - which are nothing more that unproductive welfare states that mooch off all the hard work done by blue state liberals and their sanctuary, revenue-producing cities.

I'm all about that.

I see...your screen name "I Love America" is meant to be ironic.

Cool. Cool cool cool.

Anyone can apply for asylum, that doesn't mean they get it.

It was socialism that destroyed these countries and now you want to import it here to destroy this country because you hate this country and the freedoms it was founded on.

Wasn't what Trump did what you were clamoring for?

No. Trading one human rights abuse for another isn't what we wanted.

So you are saying Trump WAS following the law originally?

No. This is you trying and failing to construct a straw man. Check the thread, then go fuck yourself.

Now you are saying that keeping the little rugrats with their parents is wrong? But that is what you asked for.

Nope. Not what anyone asked for. No one asked for families to be detained indefinitely. This is something you just came up with on the spot because you just can't stop yourself from punching down.

e honest. You want catch and release.

I told you what I want. I've said it a couple times in multiple threads. You're trying to construct straw men about what I want because you have no fucking clue what you're talking about. And you never have. and you know it.

You guys think you are being slick, but you are setting yourselves up for failure. You are like the dog that caught the car

You're a Nazi.

The "majority of Americans" have wanted something done about illegal immigration for decades, haven';t they?

Obama ran afoul of Flores and got slapped down in the courts. Trump is unlikely to fare any better, IMO.

Asylum isn't bullshit, BTW. We are signatories to binding international treaties that say so.

Who has both houses and the white house? Hmmmmmmmmmm

Probably feels that way to your mama after all the big black cock she has taken over the years. She probably doesn't feel a thing anymore does she?

Well, my mom is a huge slut for sure. But that still doesn't change the fact that you look like you're carrying a jelly belly and two marbles in your pants.

Your dick is as small as Trump's hands.

Anyone can apply for asylum, that doesn't mean they get it.

Right. But why would anyone be denied asylum if they came from a country like Honduras?

t was socialism that destroyed these countries

No. It was us. It was us backing groups lie the Contras with illegal sales to Iran. So Conservatives conspired with a hostile foreign government (Iran) to sell weapons to Contras (fascists) and paid for it by fueling the drug trade by flooding minority communities with crack-cocaine. Central America was decimated by our drug war. Socialism has nothing to do with it. You are ignorant of history on purpose.

nd now you want to import it here to destroy this country because you hate this country and the freedoms it was founded on.

You don't know anything about this country. LOL! BTW - this country was settled and founded by refugees. People who were escaping persecution.

This is why I'm convinced you're not an American. You're just some Russian troll pretending to be an American.

So, how would Trump not "catch and release" yet still keep the families together, and if he can do that, why did he unnecessarily do this to over 2000 children?

:lolup:Lying leftist starting to cry. :rofl2:

Asylum-seeking women and children immigrants are welcomed like criminals

March 20, 2016

The immigration debate intensified a couple of years ago when a flood of women and children came across the U.S.-Mexico border. The federal government didn't know how to handle the influx, so they detained these women and children in three family centers: two in Texas; one in Pennsylvania.

Today (March 20, 2016) there are more than a thousand people in these centers, waiting to know if they'll be allowed to stay in the country.

Maria Rosa Lopez and her son were some of thousands of people who fled from Central America to the U.S. in 2014 to escape gang violence, drug wars, civil war, or in Maria's case, domestic abuse — which is considered a credible fear that can warrant an asylum claim.

From Guatemala City, she and her son crossed another border into Mexico and then took a bus north to Monterrey, close to the northern Mexico-U.S. border. "I paid someone to take us across on a boat. It was night time and we slept in the desert on the U.S. side. There were other moms and their kids there too. A Brazilian woman asked me if she could sleep next to us," Lopez says.
The next morning, immigration officers woke them and took them to the Karnes detention center outside of San Antonio, Texas.

Lopez wanted asylum so she and her son could start their lives over in the U.S. She didn't know what to expect when she got on American soil, but she didn't expect to be housed in this facility with no word on when she'd be released.
"I was desperate when we got there. It was hard to see my child crying and he was asking a lot of questions," she recalls. "He knew it was a detention center and he wanted to know how long we were going to be there."
But she didn't know either. "No one was answering questions. I talked with people who had been there for six, eight months, and it was very depressing." she says. "Often my son couldn't fall asleep, we had bunk beds. He was on top of me but he would crawl down and wanted to be with me."

Denise Gilman, one of Maria's former lawyers, says the Karnes detention facility "feels very much like a prison" with "cinderblock walls, clanging doors, X-ray machines all over the place, buzzers that you have to use to get in and out to go see your 9-year-old client and his mom."

Gilman, director of the immigration clinic at the University of Texas Law School, says these women and children are seeking asylum, but they're treated like criminals. Oftentimes, they have family members who've already made it to the U.S., and she says these new immigrants should be able to stay with their families while their cases proceed.

Lies, you sound desperate to change the subject from this abuse of kids.

Ironic that you sound desperate to lie and make things up. There was no abuse; you know that is a lie and yet you continue spewing it like a dumbfuck. Why?

Yep, in dumbfuck lying leftist land where JarredHead wallows, all the good men and women of the Border Patrol and HHS are abusers!

U.S. immigration policy splits families

August 25, 2012

Alexis Molina was just 10 years old when his mother was abruptly cut out of his life and his childhood unraveled overnight. “She went for her papers,” he says. “And she never came back.” Alexis’ father, Rony Molina, a landscaper, was born in Guatemala but lived here for 12 years and is an American citizen. Alexis, now 11, and his 8-year-old brother, Steve, are Americans, too. So is their 19-year-old stepsister, Evelin. But their mother, Sandra, who lived here illegally, was deported to Guatemala.

“How can my country not allow a mother to be with her children, especially when they are so young and they need her?” Rony Molina asks. “And especially when they are Americans?”

It’s a question thousands of families are wrestling with as a record number of deportations means record numbers of American children being left without a parent — despite President Barack Obama’s promise that his administration would focus on removing only criminals.

Nearly 45,000 such parents were removed in the first six months of this year, says the federal department of Immigration and Customs Enforcement. At least 5,100 U.S. citizen children in 22 states live in foster care, according to an estimate by the Applied Research Center, a New York-based advocacy organization, which first reported on such cases last year.

And an unknown number of those children are being put up for adoption against the wishes of their parents, who, once deported, are often helpless to fight.

“When nursing mothers are torn from their babies, when children come home from school to find their parents missing, when all this is happening, the system just isn’t working, and we need to change it,” Obama said during his first run for president in 2008.

“That gave us a lot of hope,” said David Leopold, general counsel for the American Immigration Lawyers Association. “Now we are all scratching our heads wondering where is the discretion when many of our lawyers continue to see people being deported with no criminal record, including parents of American children.”
