Given some of these comments you would almost be led to believe no Trump supporter has ever verbally or physically assaulted anyone for any reason.

Today's U.S. military infantryman has a firepower advantage over a Revolutionary War troop of over 270 to one.
That's orders of magnitude more fire-power than the muzzle-loader toters had.
The notion that a disorganized, untrained bunch of beer-drinking misfits could defeat a well trained, well prepared professional army is preposterous.
In addition, such impromptu infantry / guerilla fighters would mainly be of use against an infantry invasion.
And that's a scenario which is absolutely astronomically unlikely !!
The next world war may be over in 4 minutes.
It's a new millennium. The notion that our civilian cohort is a more reliable national defense than our standing full time professional military is beyond laughable. The blunder of preparing to re-fight the previous war is cliche' blunder.
Read up on Stuxtnet, and other cyber-war details before you imagine an untrained infantry will preserve our sovereignty. Against whom? Irritable Canadian ice hockey fans ?!
