How to handle confrontational liberals.

Given some of these comments you would almost be led to believe no Trump supporter has ever verbally or physically assaulted anyone for any reason.

Almost. :innocent:

IIRC Trump even offered to pay their legal bills...oh the hypocrisy.

"That principle is contempt prior to investigation." R #320
I'm painfully aware of it.
Problem is, it's a two-edged sword.

The posted topic is:
How to handle confrontational liberals.
This may seem like me reading tea leaves.
But the word is "confrontational". That almost always they're not seeking a POV, but attempting to impart one.
And it is so cliche' great men have already commented on it:
A fanatic is one who can't change his mind and won't change the subject. Winston Churchill
"Right out of the gate, you compare the rate of fire of the original Minute Men to that of a rifle our soldiers used over sixty years ago." R
I don't recall the date of the original M-16's deployment to the field.
But my comment addressed the M-16-A1, and I'm not sure that was in standard issue U.S. military combat service in 1958. I suspect that was more likely the M-1 Garrand, or the M-14.
In any case, do you have a rational reason for objecting to my using progress as a reason?

An exchange of views such as that between you and me here in this thread, that's fine.

But confrontational persons are different. You and I agree, open-mindedness IS the solution.

BUT !!

YOU being openminded does not necessarily open theirs.
"It seems you are implying that the modern unenrolled militia would be forced to use muzzleloaders." R
- nope -
"I realize you know better, but the[n] why mention the disparate rates of fire?" R
It's more than just one example of a virtual infinitude of changes that have over the centuries transformed our world.
It's an actual numerical quantification of it. I'm not quibbling over 3.71%
Today's U.S. military infantryman has a firepower advantage over a Revolutionary War troop of over 270 to one.
That's orders of magnitude more fire-power than the muzzle-loader toters had.

The notion that a disorganized, untrained bunch of beer-drinking misfits could defeat a well trained, well prepared professional army is preposterous.

In addition, such impromptu infantry / guerilla fighters would mainly be of use against an infantry invasion.
And that's a scenario which is absolutely astronomically unlikely !!

The next world war may be over in 4 minutes.
It's a new millennium. The notion that our civilian cohort is a more reliable national defense than our standing full time professional military is beyond laughable. The blunder of preparing to re-fight the previous war is cliche' blunder.
Read up on Stuxtnet, and other cyber-war details before you imagine an untrained infantry will preserve our sovereignty. Against whom? Irritable Canadian ice hockey fans ?!

You can determine tone from written words?
Most can't." R #320
It's difficult for me to reply to a direct question in the abstract.
If you post my reply by quoting my exact posted words, and then repeat the exact posted words I responded to, I can hope to make sense of it for you.

I know this is kinda deep and nuanced, but obviously I am pointing out the hypocrisy of the RWers by getting all worked up when one of them wants a safe spot, yet conservobots makes fun of college kids when they do. I try to keep things concrete...
College kids needing a safe spot cuz they wost an election?

Hilarious. What a bunch of losers unequipped for life.

This owner got it right.

"A Richmond, Virginia, bookstore owner said he called the police on Saturday after former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon was confronted in his store.
Nick Cooke, owner of Black Swan Books, told The Richmond Times-Dispatch that a woman called Bannon a "piece of trash."
The woman then left the store after Cooke said he called 911.
"Steve Bannon was simply standing, looking at books, minding his own business. I asked her to leave, and she wouldn't. And I said, 'I'm going to call the police if you don't,' and I went to call the police and she left," Cooke said. "And that's the end of the story.""

What law was she in violation of?

I know this is beyond your comprehension level but the only thing you're illustrating is your ignorance and glaring hypocrisy.

How is that? You Repugnant ones have been mocking anyone on the left that dares to confront you, and now you whine when even more stand up to your liars, and anti-American poodles, and doing so without masks, and in public?

Must be your own ignorance that is "glaring".

How is that?

:fap:

Are you okay with the harassment of people one disagrees with politically? TD seems to want to get all you hypocrites on the record in case DEMOCRATS start getting chased down and harassed with Fascist get-in-your face tactics, Mature Masturbator.

Yes, or no?

But you fools are bragging about how it was the calling of the cops that caused her to flee. So, I ask again, what law was she in violation of?

:fap:

I don't recall bragging about anything, Mature Masturbator. That's what the bookshop owner said in a statement. That information is in the OP and the linked article. Are you usually so ill-prepared to discus an issue?

Since she didn't hang around to find out what she could have been charged with, who knows?

It sure seems she thought she was doing something she didn't want the police to catch her doing, doesn't it?

I guess you can say the same for all the poor little offended Trumpsters like Sanders and Bannon. Right? I knew I would have trouble with trying to make a point that would require a little thought from the conservobots.
College kids needing a safe spot cuz they wost an election?

Hilarious. What a bunch of losers unequipped for life.

I quoted you so Rune could see the context, DEMOCRAT. I was responding to him. Let's see if you're not too senescent to follow the conversation.

You struggle with following dialog, don't you?

Loser.

:rofl2:

Good for you, fuckwad. You quoted me.

That time, ar least, you quoted me without claiming it as your own. Small steps, stalker.
