Great day in the U.K.!

ROBERT HARDMAN: I don't remember huge protests against world leaders who criminalise homosexuality or stop women voting... so why was Trump cast as the pantomime villain?

Perhaps I just wasn't paying attention but I am pretty sure that this lot were not here three months ago. On that occasion, London was hosting not just one 'bigot' but dozens. In fact, all told, the 2018 Commonwealth summit honoured no less than 37 world leaders who choose to criminalise homosexuality in their countries.

I certainly remember them all getting a full state welcome and dinner at Buckingham Palace. The funny thing is, I just can't recall the protests. Nor did I see the placards a month earlier when a leader who bans women from voting in general elections – and only let them drive cars this year – was a guest of honour in the City of London.

Aside from a handful of protestors outside Downing Street, there was no street march against Crown Prince Mohammed of Saudi Arabia. Maybe everyone was washing their hair that day.

Hah! I expect warmer relations.

1. I'd like to see some kind of 'Crimea' agreement where that is put behind us. And at the same time come to a commitment that Russia doesn't have any kind of designs on the Baltic States.
2. Resolve the 'Syrian Civil War'. Give Assad the Western Part (west of the Euphrates) and give the Northern Federation (mainly the Kurds) the northeast, in a 'Federated' Syria.
3. Come up with a joint North Korea viewpoint (denuclearization).
4. Stop killing people with Nerve Agents.
5. Clearly explain that if Russia interferes in our Elections, the Congress isn't going to be lifting any sanctions. it WON'T be left up to the President.
6. Invite Putin to Mar-A-Lago for a round of golf.
not a bad list. Congress does impose sanctions..but that is a good menu.

The problem is we are so hostile to Russia, we haven't done any back channel communications
so all of that would be a lot to ask from 1 meeting

Fuck off, you obnoxious cunt!

Please watch your language brother havana moon. I know you are from one of the territories but this should not prevent us from discussing issues like civilized people. You should not let the place you were born and environment you grew up in to determine the kind of person you can become.

So stop being an obnoxious cunt then.

I have already explained that on another thread here. No use repeating it. Other than that, do you honestly think any President cares about a very small group of people protesting them in another country? Everyone of them more than likely says the same thing on AF1 flying back here. Fuck em.

250 thou in England. And thin skinned Trump runs from priotests against him like little girl. yeah I think Trump cares. His ego is enormous. He flees when there are protests in the US too.

So what? Corbyn's rentamob will protest at the drop of a hat. Especially when they know that stupid and gullible Septics like you will fall for their bullshit. Erdogan was given a state visit ffs, a man that put down a coup, in the most brutal manner, and has repressed the Kurds for decades.

Rag Mag fish wrapper.

I'll go with the official explanation from...Downing Street and Buckingham Palace said Trump’s tour was not a state visit and that the only plan drawn up involved the Queen greeting the president and his wife Melania alone.

I'll wrap the fish with...However, a well-placed source said senior courtiers discussed which royals to include and shared concerns about Charles’s and William’s reluctance to participate. :palm:
