Amateur hour

I guess we disagree on "dysfunctional."

Trump's entire meeting w/ Putin - from the ill-advised decision to move forward w/ it after the indictments, to yesterday's fiasco news conference - was textbook dysfunctional, imo.

I just think it's about standards. You don't seem to think being President is an important job - you want to see a bull in a china shop approach. I think it's an important job. I want qualified, experienced people who don't embarrass us as a nation.

I’m critical of Mullet for releasing the indictments knowing the president was preparing to meet with Putin—a man who leads an important nuclear power.

Maybe it’s Mullet who isn’t quite ready for prime time.

The Russian indictments are nothing more than a counterintelligence finding dressed up in legal garb. Why would he want to jeopardize the talks by releasing them right before the summit? He couldn’t wait a couple weeks? He doesn’t know what jeopardizing talks with a nuclear power could entail?

He doesn’t care? Or was it purely a political move as part of the ‘insurance policy’?

The only one's embarrassed are the Russiaphobes and neocons who don't want a rapproachment with Russia.
Add in the Dems for political reasons. add in the media because they hate Trump's pushing fake news aside.

The indictments were known long ago - Nunes wrote about it in the House memo.
Russian meddling has been known (even Trump has agreed before) for awhile.

so what do we do about it? Obama did literally nothing.
no confrontation ( except the meddling in the Euromaidan). but no dialog either..he watched from the side line as NATO continued to expand.
He put in some sanctions and threw out some Russians, but made no attempts to engage Putin to try to mitigate the underlying hostilities driving US/Russian relations.

Trump to his credit has sought peace with both North Korea (another Obama stand around and watch)
and a dialog with Putin to engage on realpolitik. engaement leads to reduced tensions, and gives Russia a stake
in not warring in Donbass.

The fact this so enrages John Brennan should give you a clue of his motives. Which brings us back
to the initial FBI investigation -run by more haters who with their last breath want a hostile relationship with Russia.

Put all that up against a misspeak in Helsinki -and it's not even close.
Trump is looking for peaceful co-existence instead of war with North Korea,
and an improved Russian relation which can only be a plus for peace.

At the same time Trump is putting pressure on both Putin and North Korea to clean up their acts. win/win

Um...you'd rather he hold that information, and let Trump meet w/ Putin with no awareness of those findings?

That makes no sense.

Obviously, Liberals like you know what's best for everyone. Screw the will of the people, you know better. When are you idiots going to get over the fact that you ran a horrible candidate who ran a horrible campaign? Instead of blaming everyone else for your fuck ups, why don't you get to work on issues, and take back some of the power you've lost over the last decade? Or are you just going to continue to wallow in your woe is me, it's everyone else's fault, little pity party? You people are so fucking pathetic, you don't deserve power.

Democrat leaders have failed us, but the liberals can't see that.

Did Clinton or Obama denuclearize North Korea?
Did Clinton or Obama enact a Muslim ban to keep us safe?
Did Clinton or Obama take steps to deter illegal immigrants?

Can we get together and change our priorities when electing a President?

This is an important job. We shouldn't want someone who "talks just like us!" We shouldn't care about someone being folksy, or eating pork rinds, or who we'd rather have a beer with.

We also need to get off of the idea of needing some sort of mythical "outsider" who doesn't have a clue what Washington is about or what it means to be a politician. Being a politician is a job - it requires skill & some nuance, and if you want to be good at it, some intelligence & experience.

This is what we get for not treating the election of candidates like it's an interview for the most important job there is. This is embarrassing.

Perhaps the you part of we can find a better candidate so we have an alternative between a feline grabber and the enabler of a feline grabber

Who we select as president is not important, no matter what you believe -- very few presidents have had any hand into the policy making aspect of governing, least of all Trump.

So as long as the party of your choice is in office, the think tanks, lobbyists, corporations and policy wonks will always be the ones making the government go, not the president.

If you ask Trump to speak in detail about the mechanisms of any policy his administration has implemented -- it would be embarrassing to watch -- stop thinking Trump is behind these policies, he is not.

There's no question, country, that we do indeed know better than anyone of your ilk.
But try to know what you're talking about anyway.

Liberals didn't nominate Secretary Clinton because Secretary Clinton was a centrist like her husband Bubba, not a liberal.
In terms of competence, she was highly qualified, but she's not an ideological liberal.

The Democratic Establishment nominated the Secretary.

Liberals voted for Senator Sanders in the Democratic Primaries.

We voted for the Secretary in the general election because one had to be lower than whale shit to vote for Trump.
And then we learned how many Americans are lower than whale shit.

Despite being a crappy candidate, Clinton still managed to get 3 million more votes than Chief Whale Shit.

Just because you think it is embarrassing doesn't mean everyone does. Maybe you could be supportive of freedom and let people vote for whomever they want?

Or do you think you are so smart you should be able to tell everyone what they should and shouldn't do. Maybe you could mind your own fucking business for a change?

Oh wait, you think America is in peril right? Sure, wring your hands

Raised the deficit to a trillion dollars per year and climbing, breaking his promise to lower debt.

Most people think it's embarrassing. And where in my OP am I not "supporting freedom?" Am I suggesting any sort of restrictions?

You are suggesting that people don't have the right priorities. Who are you? Is it some amorphous question just designed to make you feel good?

You are a clown

Thanks for admitting that I didn't suggest restricting freedom in any way.

I didn't admit anything. You obviously think you are the smartest guy ever and like all liberals you think everyone should think and vote like you. That is how all totalitarians think
