The trouble is, I think, that (leaving party politics aside), Mr Trump is, in anybody's book, wholly unfitted for the office he holds. Given the party system, the Republicans are committed to the man by the huge revolt of the uneducated peasantry. Given a little sensible compromise, though, I'd have thought, it shouldn't be impossible to ease him out (he might even like it). Mr Pence seems to me the real problem.
Its unlikely because THE PEOPLE will not allow for such a Coup d'état. The only way Mr. Trump leaves office is for the left to kill him or beat his ass at the ballot box. The white hats will win in the end as a great many leftist fascists will go to prison or worse.
