Federal deficit grows by 32% to $900B

Thank you. And the problem with the not enough revenue argument is there will never be enough revenue for all that we would like to do so it reduces accountability. Otherwise you can waste and spend inneficiently yet all you have to say is we need more money. Government has proven over and over it is not good stewards with our tax dollars. They don't need to be rewarded with more

There is plenty of revenue.

You all just gave it to the rich.

Then you whine about the deficits your tax cut caused, and say the only way to fix it is not to repeal the tax cuts that caused it, but to cut spending????

So you run up a debt and deficit with your Russian Tax Cut and then say the only way to close the deficit is to cut spending people rely on. Spending they wouldn't need to rely on if they were paid a decent wage. So this hits two major subjects; fake deficit posturing and a lack of wage growth.

thanks Obama

you are just ate up with the dumb ass aren't you

Yup.

Conservatives loved Bush, until the results of his policies were unfavorable. So they tore off the Bush/Cheney shirts and stapled a few teabags to their faces to posture over debt. Then when the Teabags achieved nothing with the power they got, suddenly the teabags came off and magically the "freedom caucus" and MAGA emerged. Now, they're trying to do another rebrand, this time to "classical liberalism".

Other than them, who is fooled by this shit?

Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.....

you get more stupid by the post, why don't you just quit while you're ahead, for christs sake man

According to the CBO, individual tax revenues rose only 1% post-Russia Tax Cut (slower than the pace of inflation and slower than the rate of revenue growth over the last 9 years) while corporate tax revenue declined by 30%.

All because of your Russian Tax Cut.

More moronic ramblings; you're quite full of them.

how many different ways can we explain you are stupid, yet you keep coming back for more.

you do know the tax cut benefit won't completely transpire until April 2019, right? tell me you know that.
because opining on a subject you don't at least know the basics of is evidence that you are a troll

do people laugh at you at parties?

According to the actual revenues they are UP versus last year you ignoramus. If Tax revenues are UP, how can the tax cut be the reason fro a deficit? It is obvious you cannot think nor do simple math.

STFU already.

Oh black Jesus!

Paul Ryan said in December 2017 that you'd see the benefit from the tax cut "by February at the latest".

We were told in December 2017 that the Russia Tax Cut would increase wages by at least $4,000 and as much as $9,000. Actual average increase? $350.

Corporate taxes were cut immediately, so why would we need to wait until April 2019 for those to "transpire"?

More empty promises from the clueless right-wing.

Ironic that tax cuts will be the thing that ends up sinking the GOP. Couldn't happen to a worse group of people.

So the changes to people's paychecks came by February 2018 at the latest. That's what Paul Ryan said, and that's what most people noticed. Not sure why you think April 2019 is some magic date since the tax cut already started and has been in effect and reflected in people's paychecks since at least January and February.

This has the trapping of "no wait, we swear it'll work, just wait."

Feels like a goalpost shift.

So what's this huge benefit that's supposed to come through in April 2019? Because you've already reflected the tax cut in people's paychecks for the last 8 months.

The issue of government spending too much started well before 2017. We don't have a $20 trillion national debt without a spending problem. Americans want lots of things from their government but don't want to pay for it. Politicians are happy to oblige. Speaking truth to the fact of overspending doesn't get one elected.

Ironic that tax cuts will be the thing that ends up sinking the GOP. Couldn't happen to a worse group of people.

yea, good luck with that

You are seeing a tax benefit immediately, probably 3% tax cut already assuming you are in the 19 to 77 k income bracket filing jointly,
nearly the same filing single just slightly different income spread

but in April 2019 and every April thereafter your standard deduction just doubled, goober, and that's cash. from 12k to 24K.
and even eliminating the personal deduction the total is 4K to 7k cash extra in your pocket, it's your money, go spend it. As Paul Ryan stated.

The corporate tax cut was to spurn growth, which it is doing, it's not magic and it won't happen overnight, (Jesus give me the strength I'm rationalizing with a moron with a 6th grade education)

I don't expect you to grasp what job growth will mean to the deficit, I'll keep it simple in an effort, more people working = more tax revenue.

Your idea is let the government keep more of our money and they will then apply it properly to deficit reduction.
Are you that ^^^^ stupid

you're a troll, nothing more than a triggered left wing nut-bag troll
do yourself a favor and find another subject

The issue of government spending too much started well before 2017

Even if you cut all discretionary spending, you're still running deficits higher than those Obama left behind.

In all this, none of you have been able to articulate exactly why you care about debts and deficits so much. Niether has any impact on your daily life. Neither has even had an effect on borrowing rates for the US government. So you run up deficits and debts with your tax cuts, then cry chicken little over the deficits that result from them.

What a fucking fraud. Who buys this shit?

We don't have a $20 trillion national debt without a spending problem.

Most of that is from your shitty tax cuts.

Your shitty tax cuts reduce revenue, which creates deficits, which adds to debt.

So if you were serious about debt and deficits, you wouldn't support tax cuts.

But here you are, complaining about a problem caused by the thing you support.

That makes your entire argument masturbatory. You cut taxes, which cuts revenue, which creates deficits, then bemoan the deficits you just created with your tax cuts.

What a fucking fraud.
