Trump: Quite literally the Laughing Stock of the World

Trump used his rally lines that get such applause when he is talking to Trumplestilskins. He showed how little he knows about those outside his tiny circle. It was a ridiculous statement that only a righty, living in a rightwing bubble could believe. Those outside the power of right wing propaganda laughed out loud.
Then Trump declared political and economic war against the world.
What a horrible speech.,

He is without a doubt the worst public speaker I've personally ever heard...and I have heard people with speech defects speak.

The instant the petro dollar is no longer considered the reserve currency your empire will go the way of the british empire once the Pound Sterling no longer was, only with our fascist tendencies and propensity for violence the contraction will be much more sudden and violent.

Unlike yourself I am not a partisan parrothead who won't credit Obama for anything -
i give him credit for the jobs recovery.

Will you give Trump credit for de-regulation and tax cuts that caused the current boom?
Of course not. Because that would require intellectual honesty.

It's not about energy independence.
It's an economic issue.
The U.S. $Dollar is strengthened by being the defacto global standard for such international trade. That's subject to change. [pun not intended]
And if another currency replaces it for such commerce, persons that use the U.S. $dollar will suffer the consequences.

I've seen both written. it could be both or either. they are not mutually exclusive depending on the level of repression.
But if it makes you happy OK. I was wrong.

Wrong.
The need by the US of reserve currency status had everything to do with maintaining our standard of living and defence abilities.

With the dollar as reserve currency we had unlimited credit/wealth.

Now with our own oil it doesn't matter

Your point is but a small subpoint to what was, until very recently a point of incredible importance AND one of the main reasons we killed Gadaffy duck, among other crimes committed with the goal of unending flow of oil.
