There is a solid chance he will despite what happened today because the GOP senate is thinking this could possibly be the last time they have a chance to land a SCOTUS seat.

So the GOP senators may well vote so despite the hammering they have been taking and will be taking.
 
That occurred to me all along his 'belligerent' defense. Unrecognized, undiagnosed, untreated, therefore unrepentent.

It WILL have a bad outcome, on or off the bench. I hope his wife has a plan for herself and her kids.

Sadly, you maybe correct. And Flake and Collins will have to go run for city council. Murkowski should be safe.

First off Supreme Court justices have excellent medical insurance. I doubt she will be able to use it all. Second by all accounts Kavanaugh is an excellent lawyer and judge. I think it is safe to assume that he knows enough not to hit the face or areas which cause permanent damage. Third Kavanaugh is also well connected. I am sure there is a discreet doctor available for her somewhere.

I like beer. Normal people like beer. I drank beer at parties in high school. As chance would have it, my parents were away on vacation the night my high school won the state championship basketball game and my younger brother spread the word there was a party at our house and 200+ people showed up to drink beer and destroy my parent's house. LOL I like beer. Normal people like beer. Kav was normal kid. This chick's story is a hit job and it's so obvious it's laughable. Right down to the dems pestering Kav about the FBI when we all know the FBI doesn't make conclusions. LOL Grassley even interupted to tell those assholes. Fuck the democrats. Confirm him. He should have just owned it. It doesn't look good that his first statements about his youth were about being the opposite of a partier.

That said, I thought he was credible today. And I thought she was as well. The only reason I doubt him is because he tried to portray himself as more of a choir boy in his youth. Everyone parties - just own that.
 
He is a mean drunk, and that came out today.

He will be confirmed, and the GOP will lose 50 to 60 seats in the House, and maintain an ineffectual majority of 0 or 1 in the Senate. The power is over for the GOP.

Yes sir. I am from that time and Alexandria VA. Pretty much know what was going on in Bethesda Chevy Chase in early 80s
if you were coming of age. And it was beer, but not all beer. Lots of drug experimentation. Underage drinking and driving.
That is the era that spawned mothers against drunk drivers. Lots of teenage deaths behind the wheel.
