It's why they never want us to vote and why they lie about us voting. It's going to be worse now that they will allow voter suppression. Watch out for the lies coming about Blacks not turning out. I gotta admit, I voted for Bedtime for Bonzo even when I heard him make the "welfare queen" jokes.

I knew at the time what he was saying was dehumanizing and quasi-racist...but I kept rationalizing support for Republicans because as a young man I was all about the anti-communist rhetoric Raygun was infamous for....part of that context - for me - was cultural and the influence of my anti-communist immigrant family.

But, all we can do as humans is practice introspection, try to cultivate morality, and learn from our mistakes, eh?

Good insights? The Republican Party is the party of Lincoln. So at its inception she would have supported the Democrats who wanted to keep slavery going? During the short period of reconstruction when blacks could vote and won office as Republicans she still would have been a Democrat?

One can vote and support whomever they like today but that's just basic history.

Obama had the worst economic recovery in our history WHILE running up $10 TRILLION in debt.

Nope. The past three were products of the Democrats. Carter nearly destroyed us with the high inflation, high unemployment. Reagan bailed him out.

The 2000-2002 downturn began under Clinton. The Nasdaq was cut in half from March of 2000 to December of 2000. Clinton was President at the time. Clinton also repealed Glass Steagall. Which led to the excess of Wall St and the downturn of 2007-2009
