"While the Republican leadership celebrates the seating of Brett Kavanaugh as a Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, Chief Justice Roberts yesterday requested the Tenth Circuit to review more than twelve ethics complaints that have been made against Kavanaugh. The complaints concern Kavanaugh’s behavior at the Senate Judiciary Committee on September 27."

"The situation is unique in that never before has a Supreme Court appointee joined the court at a time when a fellow judge has concluded that misconduct claims against that appointee warrant review"

Now this isn't a Democrat, a "leftist" group, nor some supposed Soros, it is always Soros, funded effort, but the current Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. Appears Roberts has some concerns about Brett sitting on his Court

Probably won't amount to much, but this could be interesting, Hannity is going to have a hell of a time convincing the lemmings Roberts is a left wing socialist nutcase out to get Trump cause he beat Hillary in the last election, but I'm sure he will, and they'll buy it

They gave us the electoral college lol.

Well, nobody is perfect

One of the reasons they installed the electoral college was because they didn't trust the capability of the people, a thought that doesn't quite fit into the current conservative love of Populism

That and Roberts really doesn't want his Court's legacy to be one of obvious political partisanship, although I'd argue he is too late for that effort

I don't think it is too late...

...and I agree with you that Roberts is not going to want to go down in history as having presided over a SCOTUS gone apeshit.

Umm...anyway, I CERTAINLY HOPE THAT IS THE CASE.

I'm normally an optimist...

...but the pessimistic side of me has grown since the clown took office. We've come apart at the seams.

"not too late," I'm not so sure, Citizens United, the civil rights decisions, and the Holder Case will always be associated with the Roberts Court, and I can't see them drifting too far ideologically from those decisions, especially with the bogus "orginialism" theory they have invented

Roberts wants to clear the air about this, he's concerned about the legitimacy of the court and doesn't want people to think it's a political institution. The right has been trying it's damndest over the past few decades to make it into one though.

But the conservatives also love the electoral college.
