illary Clinton vehemently denied in an interview Sunday that her husband’s extramarital affair with then-White House intern Monica Lewinsky was an abuse of power and added that former President Bill Clinton was right not to resign amid a scandal that led to his impeachment on perjury and obstruction charges.

“Absolutely not,” the former first lady said during the CBS "Sunday Morning" interview when asked if Bill Clinton should have stepped down.

“It wasn't an abuse of power?” CBS News correspondent Tony Dokoupil asked.

Clinton responded: “No. No.”

Hillary Clinton, who went on to be elected to the Senate and served as President Obama’s secretary of state, said the relationship was not an abuse of power because Lewinsky “was an adult.” At the time of the affair, Lewinsky was 22.

illary Clinton ultimately brought the topic of conversation to President Trump.

“But let me ask you this: Where's the investigation of the current incumbent, against whom numerous allegations have been made, and which he dismisses, denies, and ridicules?” she said. “So, there was an investigation [of Bill], and it, as I believe, came out in the right place.”

Clinton’s comments came quickly after she rejected any comparisons between her husband’s actions and the allegations of sexual misconduct leveled against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh during the confirmation process.

Calling Kavanaugh’s swearing-in ceremony at the White House “a political rally” in a CNN interview last week, Clinton lambasted the justice and Trump.

It further undermined the image and integrity of the court," she said. "And that troubles me greatly, it saddens me, because our judicial system has been viewed as one of the main pillars of our constitutional government."

....for those who still have fuck to give about what this hag has to say anymore

You know, it's not easy to discern by reading Hitlery's comments, but, I think I detect just a wee bit of bitterness in her words. Though, I could of course be mistaken.

....for those who still have fuck to give about what this hag has to say anymore

It seems conservatives are those who "care about what the hag has to say," can't recall anyone other than a conservative who ever intiated a post feature Hillary.

You people got to get over your Hillary obsession, for seven years now she has defined you, the Clintons for over thirty, time to move on

She chooses not to leave the spotlight and therefore will continue to be talked about as long as she is making news. Tell her to stop talking and people will stop talking about her.

Consenting adults. Lewinsky may have been trophy hunting or being a political groupy. Nearly all pols get lots of women throwing themselves at them. Many take advantage of it.

Missed the point, it is the conservatives who are doing the "talking about," Mitch Rommey is still talking but you don't see any individuals left of center "talking about" Mitch, even individuals as Nyet draws minimal attention

She owns you assholes lock, stock, and barrel.

She owns you...and must smile (or laugh out loud) each time she notes one of you people raging against her.

SHE OWNS YOU!

Mitt Romney ran for President six years ago. Hillary under two and some people still say she should be President. I know Trump is President but you act like no Democrats should be discussed. When was the last time you discussed anything going on in your own party? When was the last time anyone liberal on this board discussed the battle going on within the party between the mainstream and the emergent left wing? Hell posting an article showing Kamela Harris as the current Dem front runner got responses not of discussing if fellow Democrats liked her but complaints that now Republicans will attack her.

Is the President the only person that should be discussed on a political board?

To be fair to Hillary she's right, back then a BJ wasn't that big a deal. Today though that BJ from a subordinate can cost you your job, public or private sector.

Hillary's bimbo eruption tactics may have been an abuse of power though even back then.

no. cawacko was right on point. when is the last time you saw Romney in the news?
Hillary can't let it go and has to put her face out there, so I'm simply covering what news covers

I notice all the Jesus Freaks are all up in everybody's business when it comes to sex.

Non jesus freaks seem to care just as much about everyone else's sex lives as well. And in the era of #metoo Bill's actions definitely fall under the heading of abuse of power.

Why should she stop talking? She is a major figure in modern American political history, having been FLOTUS, U.S. Senator, Sec State, and nominee for President. She has been a fixture of American national politics for three decades.

She won the popular vote, and was the choice of American people to be president.

I mean, I can understand why Romney had to disappear. He was a one term governor of a small state who got blown out in a presidential election.

Your party nominates people that end up being embarrassments and disasters. Nobody is interested in what the disastrous George Dumbya Bush has to say, he had to crawl away in shame. And Sarah Palin - a former half-term governor - is a walking punch line. Dick Cheney, the Dark Lord of Torture just basically creeps everyone out.

By the way, I agree with you that we are not limited to talking about Dump on this board. I plan on spending the next decade painting the Republican Party as the party of George Dumbya, Dick Cheney, Sarah Palin, and Donald J. Trump.
