‘There is NO GOD’ Stephen Hawking’s final revelation of the afterlife REVEALED

and you base this on.....let me guess, faith?

I consider my choice to believe in God as logical......

1) I look at the universe and conclude it could not possibly be the result of random shit happening.....it shouts INTELLIGENT DESIGN everywhere you look.....
2) I find it illogical that an entity powerful enough to create the universe would not communicate that power to his creation...
3) of all the religion in the world today the three that teach there is a creator, despite being completely opposed on nearly every thing else, agree on who the creator is....
4) between Judaism, Christianity , and Islam, two teach that humanity can achieve righteousness through their own actions......I have seen humanity in action.....I do not find that credible.....

that leaves Christianity......

Probably.

Problem is the multiverse hypothesis just kicks the philosophical can down the road [the origin of the multiverse is contingent on what?] and it has the annoying side effect of having to believe in something that exists outside of the observable universe.

Which puts one right back at blind faith.

It's really not blind faith on his part. You can't prove something doesn't exist but you can say that after a lifetime of searching you have not seen any evidence. Blind faith is believing in God without any evidence to support that belief.

Conjecture is fine but proof is better.

Like I said, I'll be just fine.

You probably think heaven is some exclusive country club that bars all liberals. It probably looks like a Trump rally to you.

if there still are liberals who have chosen God they will be there......though I'm thinking more mountain retreat with Hawaiian beaches.....

I've been doing a lot of stargazing.. I found a place away from the street lights with a wall I can lean against while looking up. .. I was watching the moon and Mars last night, and then Orion came up late. etc.

The order of the universe is amazing. I get the orbits and so forth and I get we are just a bunch of random DNA accidents. But I'm not too jaded to be awed by the wonder of it all.. It makes you feel small and significant at the same time

How idiotic is that?

why do christers get angry when people reject their mythology and then come up with revenge fantasies that they hope their god carry's out

At heart they are hateful cruel people. A glance at their 2,000 year history confirms.

If Hawking posited a multiverse to escape the implications of a finite universe, that necessitates a beginning and perhaps a beginner—he is forced to believe in another entity that exists beyond the observable universe.

The irony speaks for itself.

I remember a cartoon right after he died. He was in his wheelchair at the foot of the stairs leading to the pearly gates. The caption simply said “SHIT”. I thought he was a fascinating intellect who did an excellent job explaining how God made the universe. He rooted around in God’s toolbox and that did nothing to diminish my faith or appreciation of his works

Not much changes with multiverse (which is truly fascinating).

There are the same kinds of flaws w/ the idea of a beginner/creator that just always "was" as there are with theories that involve more spontaneous yet equally inexplicable origins.

I believe in god, but never really understood the idea that the lack of explanation for how things came into being necessitated the idea of a god. It's just as implausible that an all-powerful being just always existed.
