A teacher in Florida found a container labeled “Provisional Ballot Box” in a storage area of her elementary school on Thursday.

Lakeisha Williams, of Broward County, said she discovered the ballot box two days after Election Day at Miramar Elementary School — where it was apparently left behind by election workers.

“I went into the area that we use for storage and saw it in there,” Williams told The Post.

Williams said she did not touch or look inside the box. Instead, she told the school’s principal and they decided to contact a local state representative.

“I don’t know where it is now,” Williams said, noting that all provisional ballots needed to be received by county officials before 5 p.m. Thursday.

Votes are still being counted in the Sunshine State.

The state’s races for US Senate and governor have tightened to a difference of less than 0.5 percent — potentially triggering an automatic recount.

Republican Gov. Rick Scott led democratic incumbent Bill Nelson by just 17,000 votes — or 0.2 percent — for the Senate seat on Thursday.

In the race for governor, Republican Ron DeSantis was leading Tallahassee mayor Andrew Gillum by about 30,000 votes — or 0.4 percent.

This is FUBAR Democrat Broward County. They think they know how to run an entire state when they're not even capable of running one single county's election. :palm:

They're provisional votes, so they're not going to count unless the voter showed up and proved they can vote at a later date. They're not anonymous unlike regular votes. This just goes to show how shittily these ballot s are treated, and the lies that advocates of voter ID laws tell (you can just vote provisionally and it will be fine!)

They are American citizens and they have a right to cast a vote. How dare you try to discard their right to vote because of a fuckup on the part of the county government. Only liberals get that treatment in the US, conservatives are never held responsible for fuckups on the part of their local government. Because conservatives don't think anyone who think differently should have the right to vote.

Whether anyone likes it or not those ballots left the chain of custody and that's a problem.

looks like more then a fuck up. They are behind closed doors and keep finding ballots.
The rest of your bullshit is laughable considering the history of this woman in charge

ftfy.

I love how she pointed out she didn't look in the box, almost like she's been coached. Funny timing too, what an awesome thing she "found" the box just in time.

GOV. RICK SCOTT (R-FL): Late Tuesday night, our win was projected to be around 57,000 votes.

By Wednesday morning, that lead dropped to 38,000.

By Wednesday evening, it was around 30,000.

This morning, it was around 21,000.

Now, it is 15,000.

On election night, Broward County said there were 634,000 votes cast.

At 1 am today, there were 695,700 ballots cast on election day.

At 2:30 pm today, the number was up to 707,223 ballots cast on election day.

And we just learned, that the number has increased to 712,840 ballots cast on election day.

In Palm Beach County, there are 15,000 new votes found since election night.

So - It has been over 48 hours since the polls closed and Broward and Palm Beach Counties are still finding and counting ballots – and the Supervisors – Brenda Snipes and Susan Bucher — cannot seem to say how many ballots still exist or where these ballots came from, or where they have been.

At his Thursday press conference, Scott outlined some of Snipes' troubled history.

"In 2016, Brenda Snipes’ office posted election results half an hour before polls closed – a violation of election law," Scott said. "That same year, her office was sued for leaving amendments off of ballots.
In 2014, Brenda Snipes’ fellow Democrats accused her of individual and systemic breakdowns that made it difficult for voters to cast regular ballots. All Floridians should be concerned about that."

Without providing legally sufficient justification, Rubio said, Democrat-controlled Broward and Palm Beach counties on Wednesday afternoon continued to report new ballots, cutting into Scott's already-thin lead and also flipping the state's agriculture commissioner race to Democrats.

And for the record, I have posted elsewhere that I'm all in favor of every state conducting recounts within each state's election rules after a properly conducted election. Whatever votes come in on time and within the rules are fair game for a recount.

What we have going on in Florida is the usual LOOKING for votes, not COUNTING votes already properly and lawfully submitted. The Dems always go shopping for more votes in Broward. This is voting after the polls are closed! They turn a simple election into a scavenger hunt. You can't use "votes" found in car trunks, school rooms or floating in a dink on Biscayne Bay and deem them as valid and secure outside of secured election stations. It's insane!

Whatever comes in on time should be the only eligible votes. Dems have only themselves to blame if there are truly thousands of votes which were never delivered to them in a timely manner. Too bad. They are SOL and let the Dem voters scream at their own for their incompetence. When election day is over, it's over.
