It was under reported, but Trump stopped arming Syrian rebel groups. It was a program initiated by Hillary while she was Sec State.
Anyone with two functioning synapses should know that ‘Syrian rebel groups’ will include jihadists [regardless of which team they play for] since jihadists want to take out Assad.
Well, so did Hillary Clinton. If she couldn’t take out Assad directly, she was going to do it by arming the rebels. Which made us effectively fighting for the same objective as the jihadists. It’s utter insanity. These people need to be stopped.
Foreign policy wise, we dodged a serious bullet in 2016.
I'm happy to see American troops leave a war zone but suspicious of trump's motives for this action. There is no way we just abruptly won against ISIS.
