Sounds simple enough to me, indeed pretty damn obvious if you sit down and think it through.

There are just so many arrogant, ignorant and complacent people on here. Well maybe this might wake you lot up!!

"China will overtake the United States as the world’s largest economy in a decade’s time while India will assume second place, according to Standard Chartered, which unveils its annual rankings of the world’s ten largest economies."

The Question is:
Will One Party Rule,
Government Censorship,
and a 'Collective' vs 'Individual' mentality prevail?

Western Civilization is what is at stake here.

China is intent on creating a new empire, definitely shades of Japan before WW2.

I thought you more intelligent than that, you seriously cannot see any negative implications to this?
I sure do.. "Made in China 2025" would not be a pleasant world order for the USA as it means surpassing us in intellectual propertty development and manufacturing and even weapons/territory.

Xi has formally walked back the goal, but the measures to get there -except for some notable IP protections-remain
But that's why Trump/Lighthizer are negotiating a new Trade Agreement, Because that is exactly where we were headed

Analysts see 'several signs of modest progress' in latest US-China trade talks

A U.S. delegation returned home on Wednesday after a three-day round of trade talks in Beijing.
The American side released a statement noting a long list of outstanding issues in the relationship, but also recognizing that China had pledged to buy "a substantial amount" of goods and services from the U.S.
Some outside observers say the talks yielded some small signs of progress toward resolving the ongoing trade war between the world's two largest economies.

Different countries are economically dominant at different times, and it is not one of your silly American competitions, just an economic fact. At the moment it would probably be better to be nearly-dominated by China, because their fuhrer is not as mad as the American version, but the great thing is to have a lot of posturing bosses so that people can choose their 'allies' to suit their own interests. No good trying to score off the UK, by the way: it is suffering a national mental breakdown just now..
