Kim is blustering. whatever missiles he can produce are NOT ICBM's capable of hitting the US -not even Hawaii.
The angle of re-entry is too steep for a missile to survive re-entry with the current NK abilities.
They do already have everything else, including miniaturization

The only other possibility is that Pakistan maybe sold them the advanced warhead design.

Kim has '3 Generation Death Camps'. I'm pretty sure he can find as many Kamikaze Sub Captains as he wants to find.

you have to have skills to operate subs.
They are all diesel-electric with the possible exception of the newer Sinpo-class .

what do you think we would do if we saw/tracked any of them steaming towards our coast?
They wouldn't be going back .lol

of course they can operate them. but they don't have crews for that many.
Typically about 1/3 to 1/2of a fleet can go to sea at anyone time

that's exactly what I'm saying -we have hunter-killer subs just for that reason

China doesn't have that class of sub.
Our subs are the most advanced by far.

We would either just kill them, or announce they were steaming close to our coast with hostile intent.
we might let 1 or 2 get close...maybe like we do wiht Russians, but if we detected them we'd use different measures to disable or kill them

OK. If you say so.

Point being, there's more than one way to introduce Atomic weapons into the US. 'Suitcase bomb' is my biggest worry. A suicide bomber that you can't trace back and identify the culprit.
(IMO, we're under asymmetrical attack from many directions)

The damn fool created a situation by opening his big mouth, and not being able to back up his rhetoric. He sent an Armada to the region, and they ended up playing bumper cars with each other and embarrassing the U.S military.

I am surprised actually that you continue to attempt to attribute great successes to Trump, long after any such claims look laughable at face value.

Trump is a moron, a half wit, who does not have a clue what he is doing, and is completely outclassed by ruthless communist dictators. A mediocre reality TV entertainer against hardened and experienced communist totalitarians.

Trump's foreign policy team is second rate at best. Subpar and mediocre neocons John Bolton and Mike Pompeo, both with a record of failure. They simply do not cut the mustard.

As far as I can tell, Trump has not only failed to improve the situation in North Korea, I think he has made things worse.

A good summary, and I pretty much agree.

The problem now is that hardly anybody of great capability and competence is going to want to work for Trumpf. Most reputable persons with a career ahead of them do not want Trump's toxicity, incompetence, and corruption rubbing off on them.

A wise move, I would say, because I also make it a point to not associate myself with failure, corruption, and abject dishonesty.

So we are going to be stuck with the tepid mediocrity of subpar and failed NeoCons John Bolton, Pompeo, etc. running our nation's foreign policy.
