Ann Coulter slams Trump’s national emergency as way to appease his ‘stupidest voters’

On Thursday, President Donald Trump declared a national emergency to address immigration at the Southwest border. The move was widely seen as a way for the President to appease his followers after a deal in the House and Senate did not provide funding for a full border wall.

Right-wing pundit Ann Coulter slammed the President on Twitter in response to a tweet by Daniel Horowitz, senior editor at the Conservative Review.

“The goal of a national emergency is to end illegal immigration and cartel smuggling,” wrote Daniel Horowitz. “Building 100-200 miles of fencing gradually will not do it. With this new amnesty, they UACs will come anywhere including points of entry and not only get amnesty for themselves but for those here.”

In response, Coulter tweeted, “The goal is to get Trump’s stupidest voters to say “HE’S FIGHTING!” No he’s not. If he signs this bill, it’s over.”

Oh, his stupidest voters will post about it. They will back Trump no matter what he does and no matter what he says. He was cracking up in public today, That rambling speech made watchers feel sorry for him. Then the dingbat said He did not need to do an emergency now. But I will go sign it now anyway.

Ann Coulter has got a lot of goddam nerve with that shit.

I'd like to write her and tell her to leave JPP's Trump supporters out of her tweets.

They may be stupid voters, but they are OUR stupid voters.

I am pretty sure there has never been a declaration of Emergency in response to Congress not giving the President what he wanted before.

The reason for the law allowing Emergency Declarations is so the President can act faster than Congress in an Emergency. Not so he can circumvent the clear refusal of Congress to give him what he wanted. The will of the People has been stated by the elected spending authority.

They did?

I don't think they did.

Most said he was dumb enough to do it. And most realized that he had to do something for his "stupidest voters" (thank you Ann Coulter), because he is being beat to death by Nancy Pelosi.

In 1976, Congress passed the National Emergencies Act, which permits the president to pronounce a national emergency when he considers it appropriate. The act offers no specific definition of “emergency” and allows a president to declare one entirely at his or her discretion.

To point out his lie.

What lie??
